  1. why was this thread temporarily closed?
  2. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 11:16 AM) It is only an attack to those people who are still living in the past where communists or socialists are going to take over the world. I thought our new enemy was terrorists. Uh, domestic political 'discussion' has seen an awful lot of attacking Obummer and the left-wing radical dems as evil socialist and marxist commies. There's still plenty of America Capitalism vs. USSR Communism rhetoric underlying a lot of the economic discussions.
  3. Yeah mixed with water it's kinda gross, I usually mix those drinks with 1% milk. But then again I'm looking to add weight, not lean out.
  4. Any advice for an alternative to the P90X Yoga? That one is too long and way too boring.

    2011 TV Thread

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) Anyone else watch "Extreme Couponers" on TLC? Two things I've noticed about the people on the show. One, they have extreme OCD over coupons and keeping a constant supply of groceries in their house. Two, they don't have jobs. Mostly because they spend so much time on their coupons and shopping. I can't imagine spending that many hours each day cutting coupons and then going to the store 3 and 4 times a week for hours at a time. My wife and I use coupons but the most I think we saved on one shopping trip was around $60. We still usually end up spending $200+ for 2 weeks of groceries. These people are buying $600+ worth of groceries and paying like $10. They must have better grocery stores and better coupons. One of my brother's friends did this for a while, was part of a couple online communities/groups that found the best deals. Yeah, you might end up with 20 tubes of toothpaste at a time, but you'd basically be getting free groceries and you wouldn't have to buy toothpaste for quite a while. It was a lot of work though, 20 hours a week finding coupons and shopping.
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 10:08 AM) It sounds bizarre but there is some truth to what the guy is saying. Stalin used goal programs and many public works projects http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five-Year_Pla...he_Soviet_Union. FDR was responsible for some of the greatest public works projects. I just dont think the word communist or socialist are necessarily bad things, nor am I sure the US trying to steal from the USSR's successful programs would make them socialists or communists, anymore than the US stealing from Nazi Germany would make them Nazis. Sure, but that's not his intent. It's just a really s***ty ad hominem at best, gigantic ignorance more likely.
  7. Poor Paul Ryan, Mr. Obama was just so mean to him!
  8. Oh yeah, FDR was a huge Stalinist. I remember reading about the purges.
  9. LOL, how can anyone take anything this guy says seriously? So, his Estimated Wins Added stat has LBJ at 25.6. So the Heat would be a 32-33 win team without him? Or is this just a garbage stat?
  10. LOL at the excuses for pitching Sale in the 9th.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) Can someone please give a f***ing update? 4-2, bases loaded, no outs. Crain went 3-0 on the batter but came back and got the K. Sweeney up now.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 12:31 PM) It's crazy because that was my initial reaction too. But I'm 6'3 170 now and have a solid amount of muscle and still haven't lost all the fat off my tummy. No idea how that's possible, just an extremely odd body type I guess? It's weird. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 12:58 PM) Oh ya, 'tis what I've been doing. My diet is about as perfect as can be at this point and I work my ass off in the gym every day. I'm getting there, just still have work to do. Fatty!
  13. When 1% of the country controls 50% of the wealth, it's hard for the remaining 99%.
  14. lol, I have to send that my paranoid NWO chemtrails fluoridation brother
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 11:18 AM) Holy f***! Brandon McCarthy? Pretty much the exact same body type. Runs in the family. My grandfather was the same way until he got his beer/whiskey gut and my little brother's the same, too. I got through about 3/4's of P90X starting this time last year. Then I went on the road for work for a week, to Mexico for a friend's wedding and was working 70 hours a week when I came back, so I just sort of fell out of it.
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:29 AM) Sure. What are your goals exactly? What are you looking for in a protein? And finally, what are your taste preferences? Well, I'm doing P90X, so that gives you what routine I'm doing. I'm 6'3" and weight ~160 lbs, so I'm looking to add mass. I've used Muscle Milk in the past (it's what they had at Meijer and I still have a decent amount left). It's the chocolate flavor but I don't really know that I have a preference.
  17. Also, anyone who can recommend a good protein supplement that'll also help put on weight, I'd appreciate it.
