  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:31 PM) Stop backtracking. It was one idiotic play that you called Tucker out on. Packers players were standing around too. The Bears are playing an otherwise decent defensive game here, so you (and others) insinuating that that one idiotic play was Tuckers fault is moronic. Ok going to immediately break my promise to stop responding because I really don't have a clue what you think I said. Yeah, I was commenting on one specific idiotic play. That's it. Anything else about wanting Tucker gone is completely unrelated to Lovie or that play in particular. On one very specific play, several people commented that Lovie's teams were always well-coached on that one very specific area. I don't know why you think that's moronic, idiotic or absurd or what you think I'm backtracking from. but I'm seriously done responding on this topic for really real now.
  2. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:28 PM) What are the refs watching? this crew is a damn joke. bring back the replacement refs
  3. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:26 PM) I'm sure Tucker loved that his players looked foolish. That wasn't your comment and you know it. You're blaming Tucker for some supposed lack of good coaching despite the fact that these guys were coached by the guy you are praising. Just give it up and admit you made an idiotic statement. There's nothing idiotic in pointing out that the team looked bad in one specific area that Lovie really focused on and always seemed to have his team well-coached in. I really don't know why you think that's such a controversial or absurd idea. That's all anyone ever said. You're being ridiculous on this so I'm done responding at this point.
  4. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:25 PM) Nobody seriously wants Love back. That didn't work out, the great defense pitiful offense. Lovie was going to get worse as opposed to better (wed be picking #1 overall if we had the same coaching as last year). Certain things he preached though this team lacks, and a huge one is the tenacity to getting the football on D. That's all anyone has really said
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:24 PM) um, I'd take 260 yards passing for the game from Rodgers everyday of the week. And I'd take 400 yds against the Packers every day of the week too. You'd take giving up 400 yards every day of the week?
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:23 PM) If the Bears put up 28 points this half I'll call them winning it. Yeah, I'd be pleasantly surprised if they put up that many points.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:23 PM) Briggs seems non-existent out there He's just not very good anymore.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:20 PM) Oh jeez, a Lovie coached team wouldn't miss tackles like that. Stop being a dummy
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:15 PM) Because you said something equally idiotic - a Lovie coached team wouldn't have done that. That's just absurd. Most of these guys were coached by Lovie. Edit: it's also idiotic because the defense played "well" (relative) that half - 13 points, 62 rushing yards & forced 2 turnovers. It's pretty idiotic to think how they played on every other play has anything to do with the lack of discipline on the one specific play that was being talked about. And it's not absurd to think that a coach who had a pretty good track record when it came to guys swarming loose balls wouldn't have a problem with guys not swarming loose balls. Nobody was saying Lovie should still be here, or that this defense would be fantastic/good/not-terrible with him here. Just that on one particular play, he always coached his team well not to make the exact type of mistake that lead to an easy TD.
  10. great patience by Forte on that run to get the 1st down
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:10 PM) Did you hear a whistle? It's absolutely basic football to continue playing until you hear the whistle. And again, let's all forget how many of these guys were coached by that God Among Men, Lovie Smith. why are you being dumb and thinking that anyone is saying anything like this?
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:08 PM) If this were a Lovie coached team you would have been gushing over the 2 absolute fluke interceptions they got in the first half instead of blaming Tucker: "Well, Lovie coached them to turn the ball over! Bears D is keeping them in it. NOT LOVIE'S FAULT, HE IS A GOD AMONG MEN!" Lovie was a major hindrance to the offense. He had a decent run here, but it was time for him to go and I don't know that he'll get another HC shot given his inability to work with a decent OC. That doesn't take away the positive effects he had on the defense though, or change how they really did constantly swarm loose balls.
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:06 PM) What? What does it say? It says his players are morons. An NFL coach should not have to remind his players how to play basic defense. "Hey guys, remember to tackle! Hey guys, remember you have to get the guy to the ground before he's down!" I mean seriously, find a different scapegoat. That wasn't what happened, but I know your hatred of Lovie is blinding you to how his defense really did swarm to every ball and pick up everything on the ground, even obvious incompletions.
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 05:02 PM) They're professionals!!!! How many years have they been playing?! Does an NFL defensive coordinator really have to remind his team to keep playing until the whistle blows? And how many of these guys played for Lovie? Did they suddenly forget everything he taught them? I mean come on man. That was basic football. I know you think Lovie was horrible and should never deserve any credit for anything whatsoever.
  15. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 04:57 PM) McCown does a better job distributing the ball better than Jay. Would like to see some actual stats on this
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 04:45 PM) Oh jesus f***ing christ. You're smarter than this. 8th graders would have gone for that ball. It's not Tuckers' fault his players are f***ing idiots. It's exactly the coach's fault when his players are making terrible plays like that.
  17. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 04:40 PM) Don't crucify me for saying this, but letting Urlacher walk was letting ego supercede sense. Say whatever you want about him, he led the D on the field and I doubt they'd be so lazy out there with him. He isn't capable of playing football anymore, though.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 04:40 PM) Isn't that exactly what the coach is supposed to take the blame for? Yes. Lovie always emphasized swarming the ball and picking up anything that hit the ground.
  19. Packers have three turnovers before the half and are leading
  20. This is inexcusable, really. Horribly coached defense.
