Looks like he rolled that left ankle again. This is on Thibs if they lose. Up 18 and no Gasol. Went for defense when the offense was clicking.

I like that Rose is like option 3. Also since I'm an equal opportunity complainer, Rose is getting some superstar calls tonight. Couple of phantom fouls.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) Oh my goodness jesus H christ. So in a little over an hour, we've got Davis surpassing peak KG, Hakeem, Duncan and being more valuable going forward than a top 5 player of all-time, injury proof, physical marvel and the greatest offensive wing talent of all-time? #soxtalk I think maybe for the first time ever you and I agree completely.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 05:17 PM) Dirk's never been a center. I was looking for someone who would be a center but plays like a PF like AD. KG is a better example although I think he's skinnier.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 01:38 PM) The 9 years of age difference had me lean AD. True. But Lebron can basically carry a team to the Finals. For all the dominance AD has shown, i'm not ready to go there yet. Also, for some reason I have this feeling centers have shorter careers, but I'm not really sure that's true anymore. I feel like Dirk, a more physical center than most, is still going fine and he's in year 16 and age 36. More meat-head takes from meat-heads on Rose: http://thebiglead.com/2014/11/13/donovan-m...t-derrick-rose/

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 12:59 PM) Man, Shadow of Mordor is hard. I die a LOT. It's so annoying when you clear an area of bad guys, but then as soon as you encounter a captain or warchief, about 20 other guys suddenly appear. Too easy to get swarmed. You gotta run away and/or advance the main plot to get more skills.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 11:09 AM) Illinois has 3 final targets for 2015: Bragg (not likely), Lovett (somewhat likely), and Murray (not likely). I could see us adding Lovett but I think this class could be done. I thought at one point we were pretty high on Murray's list? Is that not true anymore?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 12:02 PM) I heard the same things that i heard from trestman, just hollow answers to pretty specific questions. The Score just played a tape of Hub asking why nothing is working and it was just painful to hear him try and talk around it. I get why people are not happy with the answers, but we all know the real answer is either (1) I suck at my job, or (2) my players suck, and my GM sucks for giving me this crap to work with. Not really sure what Bears fans expect these guys to say. Totally bash their players and bosses? Sounds like a ticket to losing the team and getting fired immediately.

QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 09:36 AM) I agree but I haven't touched GTAV on PS3 to wait for it on PS4 so might as well bite on the bundle. Plus the new Batman game comes out early next year! On the Xbox note, I heard AC Unity game was real buggy so idk if that means anything to you. I've been a PS guy but Xbox i think is going to be cheaper on BF and has basically the same games as PS. Yeah I read it was buggy too. Buggy and not much advancement in the game. I don't think that's enough to get me to buy a console. I've been having more fun with PC games recently. I'd buy a PS4 tomorrow if a new Uncharted or Last of Us game was out. But that's not until next year.

QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 09:20 AM) I second you on that, Link is my favorite character so pretty excited to race as him. On a different note, I'm ready to buy a PS4 this Black Friday. Might as well get GTA and TLOU bundle at BB I'm still torn on what system to get. Usually I'm a Sony guy, but there are no games out for that system and won't be until next year. The AC Unity bundle on xbox one intrigued me, I like the price point, but the reviews for the game aren't so great. It's difficult to believe these consoles are selling so well when there's not much to play.

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 02:36 PM) not even comparable. those guys were hurt. when rose sat out at the end of 2013 and 2014 he was not hurt. he was medically cleared, which is exactly the opposite of hurt. 100%? probably not, but he was not hurt. people defend rose because they want to like him. he flashed greatness, MVP one season in fact, and he's a local kid. alot of reasons to like him early in his career. but the past years, not so much. I can't even imagine what people would say about cutler if he did something similar...Rose doesn't even realize that he already gets a ton of slack from Chicago media/fans compared to other pro athletes in this town. with time, that too will fade, especially with comments like this and lack of hardware to back it up If Cutler had made the Bears relevant immediately and won MVP of the league within 3 seasons, i'm sure he'd be treated like a god in this town.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 01:33 PM) As was pointed out earlier, this is not football or even hockey where the wear and tear on your body makes it tough to move and in some cases live as you get older. This is almost as dumb as the idiots saying 82 games is too many for a season. Yes lets pay you $30M a year to sit out so you can and attend to your son's graduation and outrun everyone in attendance at the age of 40. To me he sounds like a moronic entitled idiot If this is your position, that's fine, but you have to be consistent. Concussions and what not really shouldn't be a concern in the NFL because f*** it they get paid. Tony Romo shouldn't have sat out a game for his back because f*** it they're paying him. Cutler should have gone back in the NFC title game because f*** it he gets paid, who cares what happens next.

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 01:02 PM) this isn't about sprained ankles. and yes, I agree the Bulls handled that situation very poorly but that's not the discussion at hand here. we are talking about a player deciding when he should and shouldn't play because he's worried about life after basketball. if you don't see that as a problem, then I don't know what else to say I think you and others that think this is some terrible travesty are unfairly looking at those quotes in a vaccuum and not looking at the bigger picture of his career and where the Bulls are right now.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 12:51 PM) It's a reach because you're taking issue with those citing the quote as proof of his stupidity, yet citing it as proof of him having some kind of enlightenment. As you say, they both involve assumptions. To me, given his history of less than stellar PR moves, the former assumption just seems a bit more likely. I'm upset that fans are being meatheads about this thinking the guy isn't human and should just tear himself apart for the game or for the Bulls because they pay him. While on the other hand fans also get pissed when the owners over-use their players and think of them as nothing more than assets. On top of that, step back and think about what he's saying - he's not going to kill himself anymore because he doesn't want to break his body and end up with issues when he's done playing basketball. Is that REALLY a terrible thing to say? Do you think he's the only athlete to think that way? Yeah, he's a moron for saying it publicly. He's a moron for being so casual about and saying something like soreness is a concern. But why are we taking him SO literally given statements he's said in the past? He's a basketball player, not a Rhodes scholar. And I still say, on top of all of this, he's saying that he's not going to go crazy anymore when he plays, and that's what most of us have asked him/wanted him to do anyway.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 12:48 PM) By the accounts at the time, the only way he was going to get comfortable playing in games was to play in games, once it had healed the risk of having the same injury again were no more than they were on the day he originally hurt it. So with that one, the fact that he didn't come back really was frustrating. The other thing to remember is that he potentially gave away a chance at getting his first ring by not coming back. That team in 2013 could have had a shot in the playoffs with the full Butler/Rose/Noah/Deng/BoozerGibson lineup, the thing missing was Rose. I don't totally disagree, but I'm not going to get mad at him or the team for that decision. That's a very serious injury and he's still a very young player on a long-term, franchise level contract. They were being cautious, maybe overly so, but I don't think that's proof that he's a player that routinely refuses to play through pain/injuries.

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 12:31 PM) haha ok. Again, by all accounts he was healthy. How was he at a greater risk of getting hurt by playing last spring then he was last summer playing for Team USA? He was training, conditioning, practicing for the better part of the winter and you are telling me he was rushed back too quickly? What's your basis for that statement? Healthy =/= ready to play in the NBA at his normal level. Yes, maybe he should have tried to come back in 2013. But I really doubt the Bulls were pushing him. He was what, 23 when that happened? With his career ahead of him? That's not an easy decision to make from either side.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 12:26 PM) I understand what you've been saying in your previous posts, but this seems like a really big reach. I don't see why. The guy just went through two serious injuries that took him off the court for two seasons. He had a kid in that time frame. I guess i'm assuming this, but you have to think that's going to put your basketball life into perspective. Another serious knee injury and he's not getting a contract with the Bulls, or if it is one, it's going to be for a back-up role. The fact that he's thinking about his future, to me, means he's put things in perspective. He's not an invincible 20 year old anymore. He - gasp! - might change his game a little to ensure he's got a decent future. Again, isn't this something we all kind of want? That he's not so reckless when he plays? That he maybe avoids a little more contact than he used to? That he not play when it's not really necessary to do so?
