2013-2014 NFL Thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 08:10 PM) Soooooooo, any update on Aaron Rodgers yet? Pretty sure the reports today said he's really not close and the bone isn't healing like they want. Too much of a chance that he can get reinjured.

Hot Drinks
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 12:23 PM) I replace the water with apple cider, but this recipe is good either way. Also add in a little cinnamon. We'll have to try the apple cider. That sounds delicious.

Hot Drinks
Hot buttered rum. Find a recipe online, but it's basically taking brown sugar and butter and warming them up, then take dark rum and some water and mix it all together. On a cold day, it's awesome. My wife and I have been drinking these the last few weekends around the house.

Official 2013-2014 College Hoops Thread
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 21, 2013 -> 06:45 PM) Not when the other team has no timeouts left. I know Groce is a guy that even with a timeout he's not going to call it. He would prefer the randomness that would happen, so Haith made the right call. At worst it's a 50/50 call. You certainly can't blame him for it when he had a great play to get the lead. Also, Abrams, just play like this every game. Thanks,

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 21, 2013 -> 06:51 PM) Missouri lost that game because in a matchup of even teams a bunch of loose balls randomly went to the Illini more than mizzou. Not Haith. It was an even matchup decided by one point. i wouldnt say randomely. illinois won a lot of 50/50 balls with toughness

I like that Illinois got the benefit of that seal by Egwu, but that should be an offensive foul. He's screening a guy while moving

so, clearly they're not calling the game with the new rules. And it's enjoyable to watch.

Weber gets his typical win he shouldn't get against Gonzaga. I always liked the guy so I'm happy for him, despite setting back the Illinois program. Illinois needs this game. Gotta come out and play with energy. And most importantly, play all 40 minutes.

The Republican Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 04:44 PM) Then the Republican party is dead and someone should come up with a new party. *raises hand* I've been saying this for more than a few years now. The current party is horses***; it's being drug down by the fringe that requires the extreme right candidate out of the primaries.

The Republican Thread
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 04:33 PM) Why even get into the latter? Why not just say: Republicans are small govt and we want to treat everyone equal and we want to restrict govt intrusion into peoples lives. And when they ask about gay marriage/sex, why not just answer: Thats not my concern. Because really its not. Because 60-70% of the party is religious and they vote based on that? No one is going to win the ticket on a "let everyone do whatever they want so long as they don't hurt anyone" platform.

Sports Media discussion
Under the law if he can't do his job they can fire him. If he's a drug addict and drunk, he can't perform his job. And neither, as far as I know, are recognized disabilities that would invoke the ADA. He may have a special clause in his contract though, who knows.
