  1. 2.8 fWAR over the past two seasons. The guy a bunch of people are pining for, Austin Hayes, is at 2.7 fWAR over the past two seasons. Similar WAR/PA across both their careers. Yes, Hays is younger but he also has less CF experience and will certainly command a higher salary.
  2. So barely above league min unless he earns performance based incentives. And some people are up in arms about this move? Lol
  3. Dude, you’re off your rocker. Perhaps you’re extra bitter lately because the Cowboys suck.
  4. Colas has no future with this team. Been obvious for awhile that they don’t like him. Fletcher will get plenty of starts with Robert getting moved. Deloach is AAA depth, when someone inevitably gets hurt. Nothing wrong with that.
  5. Position player... Far more likely to strike gold with a pitcher for a number of reasons.
  6. The odds of any free agent position player signed for less than $3M returning anything meaningful at the TDL is slim.
  7. Tauchman led off for the cubs a decent amount last season. He’s not a guy that a contending team would want starting everyday but he’d certainly get ABs on a number of good teams.
  8. Me too re: Robert. I think Beni stays put.
  9. Maybe. But they’re clearly adding vets to the OF for a reason. Benintendi, Tauchman, Slater. Excluding Robert, those three are for sure on the MLB roster. Recently gave Cal Mitchell a NRI. Fletcher and Julks still exist. I’m not saying it’s great but they certainly didn't have anywhere near this type of OF depth going into the 2024 season.
  10. Wasn’t bad last season either. Higher WAR than Robert.
  11. Does this make a Robert trade more likely? He played some CF for the Cubs last two seasons.
  12. Jett, Gilbert, Acuna. Ironically, everyone here would have killed for that package in a Cease trade 9 months ago.
  13. I personally think the Red Sox offer is quite a bit stronger unless the Phillies were to include other valuable pieces that the Red Sox aren’t. I’m probably higher on Montgomery than most though. I like him better than Crawford.
  14. I still like the idea of Mayer + Montgomery even if that means nothing else is coming back.
  15. Mayer did the same at a younger age and is supposed to be the better defender at SS from what I’ve read. Wouldn’t you prefer Mayer over Miller?
  16. What is it about Miller that everyone loves? His numbers at A+ last season weren’t off the charts or anything.
  17. Yes and the timeline on those guys would align well with the Sox top 3 draft pick in 2026. The idea should be to have waves of young talent moving through the system rather than trying to get every single prospect’s timeline to align with Montgomery and Quero. Then once they have built a real young core of mlb talent I wouldn’t mind targeting prospects that are mlb ready. I don’t think they’re there yet.
  18. It wouldn’t be all in because I think a package from the Brewers would include him, Pratt, and a couple other prospects.
  19. If people are truly hell bent on acquiring prospects with star potential but extreme risk, Jesus Made fits the bill. He has greater upside than Mayer imo.
  20. Better than being compared to Phillies fans, amirite?
  21. I wonder if Red Sox fans are now boycotting their team too
  22. That’s why I think it could take 3 of those 4 to get a deal done. Whereas, you’re likely not getting another T100 prospect if someone like Mayo or Basallo headlines the deal. Given the choice, I’m taking 3 instead of 1 because the Sox desperately need depth at all levels.
