  1. What Morosi left out is the Padres also came to the realization that Cease sucks in the playoffs…
  2. It really depends on how one defines three of their top prospects and the team involved. 3 of the Mets or Reds top 5 prospects seems fair but obviously wouldn’t be fair if it’s the Red Sox or Cubs instead.
  3. The first round of the Burger draft was very rough after the first two picks. Only other guys worth anything are pitchers - Shane Baz, David Peterson and Tanner Houck.
  4. I’d prefer Ramos at 2b, Baldwin at SS, Montgomery at 3b. I’ve seen enough of Vargas and Sosa in the infield. They can DH and super sub multiple positions.
  5. Let him learn to play multiple infield positions well. That will provide more than enough utility if he can play 2b and 3b competently while putting up a .700 OPS.
  6. The reality is Burger never had much trade value and never will. I said it a year ago but he’s an annual non-tender candidate once he gets into his arbitration years.
  7. Then the Chris Sale trade was one of the worst in Sox history considering how Moncada and Kopech turned out with the Sox.
  8. At the time of trade, Eder was a 50 FV guy and just outside T100 lists. Add to that, Burger supposedly increased his trade value since moving to the Marlins and this trade return looks extremely underwhelming.
  9. Personally, I’d give Ramos a long look at 2b before moving him to the OF. There will be plenty of playing time to be found in the White Sox infield in 2025.
  10. Yea because otherwise I don’t get it. A 45 FV prospect and two prospects outside the Marlins T30 is arguably worse than Eder’s 50 FV and pushing for T100 mlb prospect status at the time of the first trade. Mind you, Burger had 38 homers in a little over 700 ABs and had become a big fan favorite in Miami since the trade.
  11. Another sign Robert is gone. No need to get Ramos OF work as the roster currently stands.
  12. They won’t even get to the postseason with that current rotation. Look at this mess. And it feels like Grayson’s arm is going to implode at any given moment.
  13. Then Elias must be content having seen the peak from this current rebuild in the 2023 season. Sucks for them.
  14. Huge considering I read the Os were after him. If the Os don’t resign Burnes, it’s going to be panic city over there regarding their rotation.
  15. He played some CF for the Cubs the last two years. I’m not saying he will be the primary CF on the Sox but he at least has the ability, unlike Gavin Sheets who didn’t have the ability to play any outfield position.
  16. I don’t see 3 better options on the mlb or milb rosters for 2025 and he isn’t blocking some highly touted OF prospect either
  17. 2.8 fWAR over the past two seasons. The guy a bunch of people are pining for, Austin Hayes, is at 2.7 fWAR over the past two seasons. Similar WAR/PA across both their careers. Yes, Hays is younger but he also has less CF experience and will certainly command a higher salary.
  18. So barely above league min unless he earns performance based incentives. And some people are up in arms about this move? Lol
