    Winter...LOL

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 12:33 PM) Schools go on 1-2 hour delays or even close here when it just drops to 20 degrees. THere doesn't even need to be snow. I keep laughing. I want to live somewhere that is so mild I don't even get the chance to prove my Chicago weather toughness.

    Winter...LOL

I figured everyone would tell me this is nothing. I guess I am just done with the winters of Chicago. My wife has a job offer in North Carolina but that won't even be warm enough for me. I want to get as far away from this stuff as possible.

    Winter...LOL

I know, I know...we live in Chicago. We have a sucky winter every year what else would I expect. This year it has been ridiculous in how early and harsh it has showed itself. Me and the wife are edging closer and closer to moving out of this city just because of the weather alone. Austin, TX here we come because this is a frickin joke.
  4. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) And Jeff will more than likely drink you under the table (as I found out one evening)..... LOL. You are exactly in real life as you come off to be on the web.
  5. An event such as this could be hilarious. Most often times posters arent quite the same personality in real life as you would view them becasue of how they seem on the web. I picture a lot of awkward mumbling at the bar. LOL
  6. Have a glorious birthday.

The Gaylord Opryland hotel is probably the most awesome hotel I have stayed at ever. It was worth the trip to Nashville alone. And we ate at the Loveless Cafe twice. Would have really loved to go to the Smokey Mountains but we just didn't have enough time. Very cool city . Strange that the Parthenon is located in a city such as Nashville though. Lol
  8. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) Cowley wrong...AGAIN Isn't it shocking? Cowley be wrong? WHAAAAAA? I dislike that man.
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 26, 2010 -> 01:59 PM) I just noticed Chase was charging me an "inactivity fee" for the checking account that I don't use anymore. I never noticed they changed the rules over the years so I moved all of it to my savings account and I'm about to close it, but really, that is so dumb, and it's a cheap and desperate way to earn money. It doesn't cost anything for them to hold my money, really, they make money just by me letting them have my money (it's effectively a loan). That's okay though because I have a couple of other places that I can keep that money where they aren't so desperate. I dislike Chase. I have my savings there but my wife and I checking account is with Bank of America. Now those guys I love. There ATM's are more advanced IMO and way more freindly staff. Plus we opened a "keep the change" savings account there. Every time we use our debit, if there is any change left over til the next dollar it goes directly into the savings account and they match it for the first three months. And then they match 5% after that. But its money we dont miss and it accumulates really quickly.

Thanks for that info daa84. From the looks of it a lot of time should be spent on 2nd ave. My wife and I favorite food is mexican and BBQ so we are gonna enjoy the eating down there I am sure.
  11. Happy belated William! Hooray! I am so happy for you! *shipps unsure if he is posting appropriately*

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) In terms of stuff to do, the Opryland hotel is re-opening in a few days after the flood, and it seems to run an enormous number of Christmas-related events. That hotel looks great but rooms are scarce. Is there any other hotels you would recommend if that one doesnt pan out?

I am taking the wife to Nashville for her birthday next month and dont have any idea where to stay or where to go. She had a few cities that she has mentioned that she wanted to visit and that was one them. I would like to get an idea of what area and part of town to book a hotel or bed and breakfast at. What hotels do you guys recommend? What the heck is there to do in that city. I would like to go somewhere that would be a nice thing to do or see particularly during the Christmas season. Thank you boys.
  16. Hope it was a good one scenario!
  17. Happy Birthday young man.
  18. I know he tries hard but sometimes I just wish they would tell James Johnson to put the ball down and stop...just stop...
  19. I came around just to celebrate your birthday Ace. Cheers good fella.
  20. Thank you guys. I had some time to spare at dinner last night to let my Soxtalk peeps know I got married figured I would just check in with you guys. We had a early afternoon wedding. Funniest moment of the day: one Jason Gage shows up and is wearing the exact attire my grooms men were wearing....only he was not one of the grooms men. How he wound up wearing a button up pistachio green shirt and same khakis pants and sandals that matched them to a T. LMAO.
  21. We had a beautiful wedding at the Palms Resort on Miami Beach. Everything was absolutely perfect. Beach wedding and great reception with a lot of family and friends traveling a long ways to support us. Great day for me and my wife.
  22. Okay. I am ready to go back to shipps. So if one of the admins/mods could do that it would be just grand. I can't because I am posting from my phone.
