that is a huge mistake, we will all be complaining that KW traded for a person who we couldn't sign. THis guy doesn't want to be there. Would you want this trade if it only for one year? Answer that then decide. I think we should trade Nomar right now if we get him.

Jason, You knwo we won't keep Nomar. He will command 14 million next year, and on top of that he doesn't want to play here. Trade him get good young pitching and win the division

From what I heard this morning on sports radio and from what I like, is the idea that Nomar goes to the Dodgers. Getting nomar for one year makes no sense. If he doesn't play in boston he wants to go to LA. Let him go they want each other. So I would take Williamson, Mota, Perez for Maggs and a minor leager. We fill a starter spot, closer spot and middle relief with three very good pitchers. Oh we also save alot of cash. Then we unload Koch, and save more cash then we go out and get a free agent outfielder at half of maggs price. This is where we should have worked out a deal with everett. But we didn't. I would love this trade. It brings us instant credability in pitching, would also alow us to sign Carlos lee longer. In addition, we could easily sweeten the pot for Ponson. Not alot just a sweeten. I hope this happens.

Jim, I am trying to understand. Why are they trying to get rid of guillen? Why take Valentin over guillen. I think guillen is very good. So what is the explanation for this?

Nomar will go to the Dodgers if they get Arod. I am certain all this has been worked out or the Arod deal won't happen. The Redsox won't take on Arod's salary and pay Manram before unloading Nomar. That would be dumb. He is not coming here. Magglio will either sign with the sox before July for less money or we will unload him if we are not in the playoffs. I would like to see Ponson come here. Apparently we have made an attempt. I have been on record that Garcia could come here, either for valentin or in some sort of package. That is rumor or speculation but fills the need and the money. I still beleive the Sox will look at Denny Hocking- No big deal there. I still think the Mets will go after Koch and the Sox will trade him. I don't really care who we get because I am more worried about unloading the money. I guess my message is; we have limitations both with money and managment. We need to understand this. So when I see the pie in the sky posts I tend to think nobody is paying attention.
