I'm 30, and no I don't remember Douglass. I haven't been following football that closely until I started playing fantasy back in 99. Baseball and Basketball had been my sports, with Basketball fading fast since no MJ anymore.

Ummm....4 total bases for Carlos = 4 points plus 1 point for the run scored plus 1 for the stolen base. He did cross the plate, dude. So he got 4 for touching them all and 1 for the run and sb each. The total bases stat is based on the bases they get just from the hits, Bb's and HBP's. So a single is worth one TB, a double two TB's etc. It has nothing to do with getting moved up. Really that would be more of a result of the hitters behind him, versus what that particular hitter did. They get rewarded for the run, and if the SB so everything gets taken into account. Ahhhhh I see now. My bust.

Yes it is through Yahoo since it is more user friendly. I tried Sandbox 2 years ago when I started these leagues and it just couldn't cut it. Plus now you have to pay for sandbox anyways. I'm creating the league tonight and will post the info. Anyone who is interested - Is there any preferred times for the live draft?

Ok fellas, here's the deal. I have done this league in 3 sports (baseball, football and basketball) for the past 2 years now, and all leagues are very active and quite fun and challenging. It's a head 2 head league whereas if you win your weekly matchup, then anytime after the Monday following the matchup (when the results are posted), you get to select a player from the team you defeated in exchange for a player from your squad you would least like to keep. The only rule is you have to exchange batter for a batter or pitcher for a pitcher, but it does not have to be by position. Examples - You choose A-Rod for Steve Finley....or Mussina for Matt Mantei. 10 teams, 21-23 players per team. You get a maximum of 5 add/drops per week from Sunday through Saturday (Sunday because that player will be in your lineup on Monday, when the new matchup begins). The reason for the maximum add/drops is so a team doesn't abuse the system and max out their lineups every day of the week. There are no waivers because as commish, I need to be able to drop the worst players for the best and vice versa and enter them into the correct teams. As commish then, obviously, I would need access to all teams to make those changes. Southsider, Sox4LifeinPA and Sox1422 from here are all in my Worst for Best full season league with a bunch of buddies of mine and winners of the basketball and football leagues. I would like to do a midseason one to include only members of this board that are interested. Oops. He had 6 points. Here are the rules to justify this: 1 pt per Base 1 pt per RBI 1 pt per RS 1 pt per SB (-1 pt per out in official AB or CS, in case of tie only)

So actually Carlos had 7 points (1 hit, 1 sb, 1 run scored, 1 point per base which equalled 4 since he scored) Frank only had 3 or 4 points for 2 hits and an rbi.

Because Carlos stole a base, and scored the only run of the game. Remember the scoring system is 1 point per base.

The only reason I occassionally stop by to see what's going on and make replys to certain posts is to defend our Sox, like I had to in 2001 and even in 2000 when we had those few losing streaks we had. It has always been in my nature, but not anymore. This summer's gonna suck, plain and simple. Can't wait to see what Kordell can do for the Bears.

Especially since it was in many baseball reports Monday that Schilling was not going to go against the Sox, but the Tribe over the weekend until we found out his hand is broken. And that E-Lo was moved up....well not really moved up since we had the rainout on Saturday.

Time for us to let go of Rick White....trade some veterans not producing, and bring up some of the kids for some major league exposure. I want to see Miles, Almonte and Cotts especially. These kids should get some time under their belts so we don't wait years and years for them to get adjusted, like so many teams are doing currently.

Loaiza was moved to tonight. It was his regular scheduled start anyways had we not been rained out in Cleveland on Saturday. Now we get to see E-Lo for both series. Garland tomorrow, Wright Thursday.

Yo fellas I will sign up when I get home from work. Love the idea. I will recruit Southsider and 3 others from here that are in my "worst for your best" league, and I might start another one of those before midseason signups end if you want in. It's H2H whereas if you win your matchup, you get to select the player you desire from the team you beat in exchange for the player you'd least like to keep. It's quite fun and a great challenge. See you at the draft, which I hope can be moved up an hour later so I don't miss any of it with me being on the West Coast. If not, then I will pre-rank. Peace!

Looks like the Matchups will be: Buehrle vs. Ishii - Friday Colon vs. Dreifort - Saturday Loaiza vs. O. Perez - Sunday We miss K. Brown and Nomo, but these three have pitched better at times then the two aces. Gonna be a GREAT series.
