  1. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) Maybe she has celiac disease and they are protecting her. Not to threadjack, but it's unusual for the Catholic sacrament of Communion to make national news twice in the same day and I thought I'd share. I missed that. I know my last Parish Priest would have not only given her the rice wafer, but probably would have offered it to everyone else as well. But he was feisty like that. Damn, I miss him.
  2. Chicago angle. Notice the web site advertised.
  3. So which countries production should we be investing in?
  4. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) During the week, my breakfast is a cup of fat free/sugar free yogurt and several cups of coffee. My typical weekend breakfast is either oatmeal or a bowl of cold cereal and several cups of coffee. Every now and then (once in a great while) I will make some sausage. That's going to stunt your growth little girl . . . Trying to stay fitting into your wedding dress? Have you picked the bride's maids torture, errrrrr, dresses yet?
  5. I wonder if future generations will look at starvation or lethal injections like we look at cruxifixtion
  6. One way I cut down on calories a while back was to eliminate all meat from my breakfasts. I haven't missed it. every once in a while, I'll have some bacon or sausage and it seems strange.
  7. Touche' salesman, I too have an uncle. Doing nothing but staying the course wouldn't have caused this uproar. He chose to have all nutrition stopped. At this point, the nurses are not allowed to even place an ice chip on her tongue. He finally relented and allowed her Communion yesterday, I guess he was worried the Communion wafer and wine would sustain her life too much longer. (unfair swipe, but give me one good reason to not allow communion, besides taking yet another swipe at the parents.)
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) It should be, but it isn't. Everyone is testing the water, and trying to see if they can make this THE issue. I wish Terri could just die in peace on her own terms, without the world being involved. I wish Terri could just live in peace on her own terms, without the world being involved. Interesting if her husband chose life, no one would know her name.
  9. Only two eggs? I need three I'll stick to a nice Q Taco from my local Circle K. Heuvos, papas, frijoles, y queso on a tortilla
  10. While we seem to be pulling in other cases and situations and trying to make it apply. Rush was discussing how Gov. Bush has no options in this case, short of breaking the law. Liberals should accept that since it is the same reason given for President Clinton not taking Bin Laden when Clinton had the chance. I do see this as cutting through political lines. When I'm listening to Rush and Hannity and nodding in agreement, it is not a progressive vs. conservative issue. I believe it is only a political issue for the professionals.
  11. These guys are embarassing to southern rednecks. To some Mexican-Americans this is similar to the KKK, except these guys can wrap themselves up in the US flag and lots of Americans buy the act. Ask yourself do you want a bunch of guys with Southern Stars and Bars flags riding around in the back of pickups patrollling your neighborhood?
  12. Choking on coffee and laughing
  13. I thought it was a joke Wisconsin allowed blind deer hunters . . .
  14. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) What exactly is to "love" about violent criminals targeting our citizens? United States government doesn't appear intent on addressing this issue. We are trading one set of problems for another. I'm certain you wouldn't mind coming home late at night and bumping into Rambo and his rifle determining if you were someone he hated, or ok to pass. A well trained Marine killed an innocent kid, imagine what these vigilantes are capable of? Already they have harrased innocent Mexican-Americans. Pick a street in Chicago, grab a rifle, and detain every Mexican you see and ask them for credentials. Why is it ok in a wilderness area and not in the city? I am certain there are more than a few illegals in Chicago, let's put these guys on patrol.
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 10:13 AM) So, these vigilantes have actually caused violent immigrants to cross the border. I love it. I wouldn't say caused it. Here is what can happen when US Marines are patrolling the border, imagine what vigilantes will do. Remember, this is my backyard, an area I take the Scouts, camp, and play. Imagine these vigilantes in the local forest preserve. Linkage here
  16. Interesting article and another attempt to bring politics into this. If you are a political insider, reporter, commentator and always think in red and blue, I guess it is a natural outcome. I think these types of events are influenced on a more cellular level. These issues are deeply personal for many people.
  17. Really Cool Links Link is wearing the shades . . .
  18. Sun Times Linkage More at link
  19. I am starting on new one on April 11th and I bought part of the company I was consulting for. Stress, what stress?
  20. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 09:04 AM) Not to be picky, but isn't it "Crucifixtion"? "Crucifiction" sounds like another option besides fiction and non-fiction. maybe his freudian slip is showing
  21. Another power to the people moment If Terri had killed twenty people, the governor has the power to spare her life. That court order can be overturned by the governor.
  22. I hope they target I94 next. Set up bon fires, road blocks, show everyone their weapons . . .
  23. Home stretch of spring training and I see a team that can compete in the Central. I was pleased to see some depth in starting pitching. The only spot I look up and see a solid upgrade at is catcher and possibly Crede and Rowland maturing one more year. We took from the outfield and gave to pitching. The concept was good. I also believe we upgraded in Managers since last year.
