Schow takes FOREVER to intentionally walk a guy  LET'S GO SOX!
-
Why Carlos? He thought Koney was on 3rd for the Tribe & ignored the cutoff man. The guy made it into 3rd. Nice play to get the runner at 3B by Graff! What kind of a name is Coco Crisp

This SULLY guy is F'g HORRIBLE! He's so F'g wild! 2-0 again! WTF is Manuel doing to this team? Get you're F'g head out of your arse Jerry! You leave a RP in until he walks or gives up a hit. It's a F'g easy rule to remember. 3-2 F'g TRIBE! :fyou Jerry :fyou Sully :fyou Carlos

C'mon Sully! Throw F'g strikes!

If I may say one thing else: Managing a mid-rev team like the SOX is like playing poker with the high rollers. You can't win with just a decent hand & a lot of $$$, so you have to be adept at bluffing & of course know when to hold & fold. I think KW has done a good job staying in the game this year. It's remarkable considering the Koch debacle. That's like losing 1/2 your $$$ on your 1st hand with the contract he worked. But then he's come back to land Everett & Robbie who both have made major contributions. He's he going to win this game of poker? Who knows. There are 2 high rollers left, 1 with more $$ than KW, & 2 very adept experienced players. But it's fun watching him play so far. As I write this El Cabello just accomplished a SAC FLY to tie the gm 2-2. YESSSSSSSS !!!!!!! I want to personally thank the best color man in the business : Hawk. His SOX lingo has really elevated the FUN & EXCITEMENT of the SOX! When you hear the ESPNers try to copy it .. it leaves your ROTFLYAO. He's accomplished something that .. well is just plain fun. The WWE lives & strives on color. But they make it ridiculous at times. Hawk makes it fun. Plain & simple. <- sometimes these guys do as well.

You guys never seem to be on when I post Frustration is : Jerry Manuel - factored in 3 of the last 4 SOX losses. Big time. sCrUBs - they are scoring so many runs right now that they're making it look easy. WhiteSox - Without R Alomar there are no fundamental MLB players. Now why can't I fault the coaching & the org on this? Twinkies - Radke in particular. He suddenly can't lose any more. Thomas - In yet another slump since the BOSOX. Koney's carrying us right now. Sully - WTF? Schow - worse than Koch KW - Koch. Say no more. Offense - that still makes it easy to shutout the SOX Defense - for every good catch Carl makes, he makes a bad play Running - Slow poke mjoke Koney still tries to stretch a single into a double. Hope : We hit a lot of homeruns & have 4 quality starters. That can go a long way. Bmr, chill. The best way to entertain good baseball discussions is too start one I post here because it feels like home. There's a spirit here that makes us all feel like home boys. I feel like a visitor at WSI & ESPN is just not worth mentioning. Mods & admins: I love the icons! :fthecubs :sosasucks on the Southside !

The main purpose for this thread is some what a concession that we can't beat the BO-SOX in the playoffs this year. If we win the division how do we expect to beat the BO-SOX when: 1) We can't score on their bullpen 2) They have Pedro 3) They are the toughest hitting team in MLB

Yes but they were playing CLE which is considered a laxy dog now. It's hard to get fans to come out to see them play the runts of the litter. Let's start this over because it's all over the place now. We have $$$ we owe so let's start there: Maggs 14.5MIL Koney 7.5MIL E-LO 3.5MIL (We don't owe it, but it's a near guarantee). Thomas 7MIL (We owe him 6 if he decides to stay. I can see them throwing in another 1MIL loan that Thomas has his lifetime to pay off ). Koch 6MIL Graff 1MIL (JR's fav player) Total: 39MIL J-Val 575 ab = 5MIL, he's at 445 ab. With 21 gms left he won't make it. He wil continue to miss play vs LH's so figure he will get 60-70 abs tops the rest of the season. That's barely over 500 ab. Arbits: Buerhle Garland Wunsch Marte Lee Type 1 Arbits: Everett Colon Options: Gordon I think Everett & Colon will both be avail to the SOX via Type 1 Arbit. So JR can at least attempt to bring them back & receive compensation picks if they decline. The arbits will probably cost 20MIL. Throw in the min guys & the total is 62MIL. That's before any decision on Everett, Colon, Val, R Alomar, S Alomar, Gordon, Schow, & Sully. Lee's going to finish near 110 RBI. What the going arbit rate for 110 RBI men? If Lee is back it will be with a 3 yr contract lower than Koney or not at all. The SOX will likely decline arbit on both Everett & Lee & try to re-sign them as FA's. It's looking doubtful that this team can be kept together with it's pivotal players. The kids grew up & some are likely to leave.

For those who don't know NAVY is the only team that did not go to bowl game last year on that schedule. There are several BCS bowl opponents. And for those who know jack s*** about college football it's more about the coaches than the players. Case in point: S. Carolina. Look at what Holtz has done practically overnight. Now I'm not saying players don't matter, but the head coach is a major factor in recruiting quality players year after year. The head coach at WSU has been able to do that. They will finish with above a .500 record in a very tough PAC 10 conference & go to a bowl game. Book it! The Irish do not need to go undefeated to make a BCS bowl. They just need to beat the Wolverines, the Trojans, & the Seminoles & about 1/2 the others. They can even absorb a loss to BC & Stanford with this schedule & still make a BCS. It's a killer schedule.

Team option on Frank? Frank chooses to stay: 6MIL Frank chooses to go, SOX say no: 8MIL Frank chooses to go, SOX say yes: Free Agency Frank is guaranteed 6,8,10,12 the next 4 yrs if he chooses to stay. It's only the last yr in which the SOX can buy him out at 3MIL. So who in there right mind would offer Frank more than 24MIL over the next 3 yrs? I don't see anybody doing that. If Frank chooses to go, you can bet the SOX say go & Frank only comes back with a new s***tier deal than what he has now. Frank: 6MIL I did forget Koch. Crap. Best we can do is trade s*** for s*** & save a mil or so. Well it was a nice dream. Looks like we go the core & build: Lee - arbit (6MIL) Rowand, Crede, Wright, Garland, Harris, Olivo, Burke - 3MIL Maggs - 14.5MIL Frank - 6MIL Koney - 7.5MIL Graff - 2MIL Valentin - 5MIL Loaiza - 4MIL Buerhle - 5MIL Koch - 6MIL Total : 59MIL R Alomar - 5MIL S Alomar - 1MIL Total: 65MIL Rotation: E-LO MB JG DW/Free Agent Cotts/Stewart/Free Agent Bullpen: Koch - Closer Marte - Closer Wunsch ???? ??? ??? Sheesh! Even the build option is expensive!

For those with short memories: 2002-2003 Rose Bowl : Oklahoma 34, WSU 14 The Irish just defeated a BSC opponent after fumbling 4 times in the 1st 1/2 & giving it up twice. Would OU have beaten them in the RB last yr down 19-3? If Houston ever reaches a BSC bowl in my lifetime please let me know I think that's reason to celebrate & a reason to be optimistic that they can pull over an upset victory next week against the WOLVERINES.

What we have is yet another typical PK year after all. For 7.5MIL we get a 2 month bumb, 2 month avg, & 2 month all-star player. That's what he's been throughout his SOX career. In 2K3, we got a 3 month bumb, 3 month all-star. The avg is the same. Paully's a slow poke mjoke weird one for sure. I'll still take Frank, Carlos, Maggs, Carl, & Roberto over Paully any day. But I'm glad to see him contribute in the stretch drive. We can't trade him unless he keeps it up.

Don't talk about the pups like that

For you: http://home.earthlink.net/~vegas68/nd.html Wake up the echoes! *WOOHOO* What you gonna say when they beat the pups next week?
