JOE CREDE With Manuel's little league approach of shifting lineups daily, I think Crede has a chance to be back at 3rd today
-
I'll to that as well. I think it's imperative that the Alomar bros return for the SOX next year.
-
...because you did not like our prospects for the future even though the following players were not in camp - Barkunov, Golovine, Minakov, Vorobiev, Babchuk and Ruutu. I saw this talent in a different way. Thank you for your past support. I am sorry that we cannot please you. Yours very truly, William W. Wirtz President What the hell does that mean? Being a Hawks fan right now is nearly as bad as being a Tigger fan.

They covered this in the Southtown over the weekend in detail. At home when the SOX are on the field, Frank can take practice swings in a batting cage below the dugout & can even get someone to throw pitches at him. There's plenty at home to keep Frank in tune. But on the road, all he can do is sit. If you're not going to play him at 1B, it might be wise to let him roam the bullpen when it's not likely he's going to get an ab over a stretch. Sandy came in from the BP to hit one night, so I don't think it's against the rules for him to get some practice swings out there. Maybe put up a net or something. But personally I'd like to see him play 1B. Frank takes pride at his play at 1B & that's historically carried over into his hitting.
-
Would the road trips have been as passionless if Big Frank was playing at 1B? Makes you wonder? -> WE'RE NOT WORTHY! SALUTE THE BIG HURT!
-
The Southtown would not have overlooked that. I don't believe it's true. KW is still in charge.
-
I'll bet any one here that if Manuel plays Frank at 1B on the road he'll hit a few dingers!
-
I'll to that!
-
I find it hard to believe that this is the truth. What are your sources? I can understand the Cubune, Times, & even the Herald overlooking all this but never the Southtown. If this is the truth, then how does it escape the Southtown, WSCR, ESPN radio, etc?

CLE's gonna help us win this division. 8 vs MIN, & 6 vs KC left. Only 3 vs SOX. They lost tonight in the 9th, 7-4 but they have competed in their last 4 series: 2/3 vs SEA, 3/4 vs ANA, 3/4 vs MIN, 2/4 vs TB
-
KC lost. 10-6. Lima has finally returned to Earth. FRANK ROCKED THE HOUSE TONIGHT ! MINNY was off tonight, & CLE is tied 4-4 as they go for 3/4 vs TB. They've won their last 5 series.

FOr what? I dont hate frank nor do i root against him. Like ive said 1000 times, franks a GREAT hitter when he wants to be..............if he plays like this through October, he will receive my full praises, believe me. You knew this s*** was coming I called it so obviously i did. In fact i called it before the game and right before the bottom of the 9th. When i get the visions, it happens. Actually..... I was making reference to JUGGER calling you out. I find it funny, amongst Sox fans, that one poster would call another poster out just because one's opinion differs from the other. I have made numerous posts that have disagreed with posters here. Sometimes I'm right. Sometimes I'm wrong. But when I'm right, I've never taken the "I told you so" approach because, in the end, regardless of my opinion, I want the White Sox to win..... ANY WAY POSSIBLE! I even cheered for K-layton in 2001 and 2002 although I was revolted by the mere sight and/or mention of his name. Ohhhhhhhhhh okay, my bad. Eh, i dont care. It was one game. Im not gonna call him out when frank goes 0-5. Believe me i hope im wrong about Frank the rest of the season and the rest of his career. I just happen to think hes a selfish, whiny, immature baby. Who just breathed new life into the SOX season & kept it alive for another day! I'm so sick of the piss on Frank sheit that goes on here. The bottom line is that for the price they paid the SOX have gotten more than their $'s worth. As have SOX fans. I think that's worth a few ill-timed comments to the media over his career.

AT HOME against a lefty. He follows his numbers, where is the big surprise? Call me if he hits a game winner off of a rightie on the road. Not just any lefty MOMO! He was 1 for 11 with a 337 OPS vs Washburn coming into tonight! It's not something to snooze at. Especially with the way Washburn pitched tonight! SS only you would diss a 4 RBI, 2HR night that kept the SOX hopes alive. If they had lost tonight it would have been very hard to keep up hope. THE MAN's A F'G HERO TONIGHT! Once again, who started this thread? I am not dissing what he did, I am just saying look at his stats. This was the most likely scenario for Frank to be clutch, and you know this Mr NPERA-man. When you go calling out people, expect some backlash. And just to prove my point, would he have done it if the situation were reversed??? Do any numbers back it up??? If what situation is reversed? If he was playing 1B? Yes. If he was facing a RH? Yes. Why? Because Washburn has been on a tear in the 2nd 1/2 just like Buerhle. He's w/out question ANA's best pitcher right now. Scioscia (sp?) had so much confidence in him, that he went with 5 IF's believing that Washburn could get him to ground it. And with Frank being 2/12 vs Washburn it's not hard to see why. THE MAN'S A F'G HERO RIGHT NOW! If Koney had been the hero you'd probably be blowing his horn for him!

I think you should stop dissing CLE. Since the break: 5/7 vs MIN, 2/3 vs SEA, 3/4 vs ANA, 2/3 vs TBD They've won 8/11. gms left: 8 vs MIN, 6 vs KC, 3 vs SOX

This is a scrub like thread. 6'3" 210# .. need to lose at least 10#. On a good day, I resemble Jimmy Smits. On a bad day, Michael Myers. This last week has been filled with many a bad day

Frank's career #'s: 1B: 968 G, 3470 ab, 690 R, 1168 h, 238 2b, 7 3b, 247 hr, 811 rbi, 757 bb, 502 k, 20 sb, 16 cs, .337 avg, .453 obp, .623 slg, 1.075 ops dh: 829 G, 2986 ab, 502 R, 837 h, 182 2b, 4 3b, 156 hr, 536 rbi, 604 w, 541 k, 12 sb, 5 cs, .280 avg, .402 obp, .501 slg, 903 ops Now when you compare his 2K3 1B #'s to his career, the writing's on the wall. Play the BIATCH at 1B a LOT more often!

Frank Thomas is an AWESOME hitter when he wants to be. The problem is he is selfish, he whines, he doesnt put the team first and he is getting older. Im all for letting this guy go and believe me, a few years ago i was a HUGE Frank fan........... That's BS Bmr. This is reality: 1B .352 BA 91 AB 8HR 22 RBI 22BB 22K 1.212 OPS DH .234 BA 316 AB 20HR 44RBI 53BB 65K .833 OPS Home .280 BA 200 AB 20HR 41 RBI 36BB 40K 1.043 OPS Away .239 BA 209 AB 8HR 25 RBI 39BB 48K .792 OPS The bottom line is this: Until the SOX have a player that puts up 1000 OPS consistently month after month, Thomas should be playing 1B. If we we're talking about Koney you'd kiss his arse. if we were talking about Maggs you'd kiss his arse. If we we're talking about any other player you's kiss his arse in order to get the most out of him. Frank is not the kind of player that can just sit on the bench betw AB's. That's what this comes down to. He needs to be moving about. His numbers show that demonstrably. It would be interesting if someone could find his career #'s at 1B & DH to see if this has always been the case. If it is, then it's hard to blame this on Franks ill-timed comments to reporters.

Series closer: White Sox at Rangers game thread..
JUGGERNAUT replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Who are you talking to? Frank bashing MOMOs. And I just want to add that benching Everett when he's this hot was stupid during this road trip as well.
