When his career is over, I think he should be on the ballot but he won't make it.

Good news for Family Guy Fans....
The flashbacks every 5 seconds can get annoying, but it just isn't as funny. The first episode of last season, I was so excited to watch it, just for after the show to be disappointed on how unfunny it was.

Timo Perez signs with Detroit
QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sweet. What's better, Timo on Det or Ponson on Min? Perez, he's an average player off the bench.

UPDATE: Uribe now certain he'll play
Cintron is definitely a better hitter than Uribe, but not better on the D. Cintrons defense isn't that bad so I wouldn't mind that much having Cintron start, I like the guy.

Another reason to hate Yanks
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 12:49 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You copied-and-pasted that name. You had to. Admit it. It's okay. It isn't that hard to spell it.

Sleeper Prospect
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 05:06 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lopez's Stats He has some respectable hitting numbers in there. Outside of 2005, where he was pushed to Charlotte to start the year, he's been decent. Age is an important factor here as well. He was one of the younger players in Bham in 05 and Charlotte in 06. His 06 numbers in Bham were actually good and he held his own in Charlotte. If he develops a bit more, which is almost par for the course at his age, he would be a solid utility guy in his career. He is known for his glove as you mentioned, can play 3 positions (2B, SS, and for some reason I think he's played some 3B in the minors though I could be wrong), and brings good speed to the table. If he could draw walks at a decent rate he'd be ready now, but he is going to have to hit .280+ at the big league level to be respectable and I don't think he's capable of that. As for sleepers I'll have to look up some names to refresh my memory before I make a selection. What the...I was looking at Lopez stats on another site and it gave me different stats, like a .300 hitter in the minors. Well looking at those stats, they are about average. And IMO he really isn't that bad at taking a walk, although he does sport a .324 OBP.

3 Reasons Why The White Sox Will Contend in 07
Pretty nice article, I agree most with our bullpen being strong, but not the best in the AL.
-
Randy Johnson trade
The Yanks got a better deal than us, RJ is declining and aging, and can't pitch that good anymore.

Sleeper Prospect
Pedro Lopez for some reason comes to my mind when I think about this. He's been a great career hitter in the minors, and he's only 22.

Soxtalk Community Prediction: AJ Pierzynski
QUOTE(SEALgep @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 06:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "I'm proud of the year we had, winning 90 games, but we didn't get what we wanted to get done and defend our championship. It's a little more frustrating with the potential we had as a team, and it wears on you a little bit. You want to win and perform." How couldn't you love this guy? I mean, now that he's on the Sox. I hated him on the Twins... Yea and I hate how everyone hates him( non sox fans) He hasn't done anything wrong lately, and you should at least hate Barret too. He totally took a cheap shot on AJ and they were friends when that happened too.

I heard he may be their closer which may be bad/good, who knows.
