LMAO! I came so close to doing that the other day with my work 'puter. I'm on the 8th floor too so the splat would have been sweet.

After getting 'disconnected' several times amongst other things, I had it with tech support (and I am a tech support person too - applications engineering, technically, for electronic components).

I personally like the group name that is listed under his avatar!

I do this and if I can't find anything there I do the reboot thing. I refuse to ever call support again. Both times I did, I figured it out before they did.

Problem is most parents don't take the time any more to teach those things. I don't see how teaching it in school is a bad thing. I'd rather have kids armed with knowledge than being completely unarmed in those situations. I know too many girls that weren't taught a damned thing about sex or safe sex and had kids (and STDs) by the age of 15 (one had 2 kids by 15 and a third by 18).

Kids are growing up faster these days. None of this stuff even crossed my mind in HS. College now...that is a different story. Kids should be educated at least so they have the knowledge. And as for "drinking safely," I don't know how other schools handle it, but in 8th grade we had to watch a film about the results of drinking and driving...I came this close (fore finger and thumb are really close together) to puking. None of us (brother, sister or myself) drank or had sex while in HS, not sure what was different in my family as opposed to others who did partake in those kinds of activities.

It was in and out for a little while, but I heard most of it. Would have loved to see at least one of the homers. Oh well.

They are at Route 66 Speedway this weekend. We went last year and it was a blast! We are headed there Saturday barring something else coming up. There will be drag racing, car shows and such going on there.

I'm glad to see him doing so. When facades start falling from other buildings, the same thing happened - they had to do immediate repairs and have inspections (my dad's building downtown had something like that happen and the one where a pane of glass fell and killed that lady a few years back is just a few blocks from him).

I joked with my mom on the phone that I wouldn't get home before the ninth inning...I was right - I didn't get home until about 15 minutes after the game ended... I must give a shout to the Alsip police. They were the only police in all the damned suburbs I was driving through yesterday that had cops out directing traffic at intersections with the traffic lights out.

I just bought a dell a few months back and I got the 3.2GHz processor, 1G DRAM. The hard drive I bought has 250G on it.

I still have no phone service and it took me 2.5 hrs to get home last night. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!! There was alot of tree limbs and leaves all over near there (I live at 116th and Pulaski - give or take). Just east of us had alot of downed trees - see NBC5.com for pictures.

I have got to find a bag of those...they have a kick ass name!

That's what I do. We end up saving some of those fake cards they send because Brian worked on the job to print those. Other than that I go right to the trash and rip them up and he does the same. We each have one and one credit card is enough.

What is this game of pepper? (I see signs all over ballparks, but have never known what it is...pardon my ignorance of course lol.)

Honestly, I am surprised that no tornado watches/warnings have been issued. I guess there must not be much rotation in the storm. I am a storm nut too. Just sucks when it happens around rush hour...

Looks like the storm is sucking up water from the Lake and regaining strength.

My boss just moved to Aurora (had a house built) a few months back. He would have been home for just a few minutes when the storm hit.

NUTS! I missed a good storm working north...sounds like a storm that hit when I worked in Downers...there were reports of a tornado touching down near there during that storm...(not much of any damage - a good thing - strangely enough though).

Groan...I just looked at traffic and it is red everywhere. I should just camp out here cuz I am never going to get home...
