What happened with Estes?

Im not totally against MB yet. But his performance this year has some scary similarities to Todd Ritchies performance last year. They both started off pretty well. But they got no run support. Ritchie finally exploded and now Buehrle has done that too. But the storys not over yet. We have yet to see how Mark reacts. Ritchie blew up and stunk for the rest of the year. But maybe Mark will recover and win 15 games for us (20 is not likely) or he will implode and follow Todd Ritchie. Well have to see how he does.

Yeah. I hate when were close but we blow it. Getting blown away doesnt feel good but its not as bad as imploding at the end...

Exactly, our offense has done well today, but they cant be expected to get 11 runs. THAT is absurd...

Im sorry guys but how ignorant can you be? MB gave up nine earned runs. No offense can be expected to win when the pitchings that bad. I know you guys like Mark but give criticism where criticism is due. Here it is really due. I just wanna see how he responds to this. Ritchie had a bad outting last year and stunk for the rest of the season. So which way will MB go?

I wrote a post a little while ago about how Buehrle was gonna struggle because he was obsessed with St Louis. It was a long post and I ripped on MB the whole time and it didnt go over very well, but now it seems I might have been right...

Exactly. Everyones blaming Daubach for his error. But that led to one unearned run, so it would be 10-2 anyways. Buehrle stunk, he should get all the blame, whether you like him or not...

BD has been a bust on O and D Buehrle should sue him self for dereliction of duty. Fine, without Daubachs error its 10-2 (probably more by the time I post this), so whats the difference? Buehrle stunk today, he cant blame anyone but himself...

Two wins and seven losses, unless our offense saves your sorry behind. This is sad. This guy has completely forgotten how to pitch. Hes turning into Todd Ritchie. Last year Ritchie got crushed by the Tigers after doing well for sometime without any run support. From that point on, Ritchie hardly ever won a game. Im not saying Buerhle will be that bad. In fact I think he can probably turn it around. But neither has gotten any run support. During his last five outtings, all losses credited to him, the Sox have scored eight runs. Thats pathetic. Ritchie and Buehrle both have done well at first but they never got any run support. Ritchie finally blew up against Detroit last year (didnt help that he got hit in the head...) and it seems Buehrles equivalent this year would be this game. The question is, how will he react? Ritchie continued to stink. If Buehrles the pitcher we all think and hope he is, hell recover and get that pathetic 4.96 ERA down. If we have somehow been fooled these last two years, hell go down Ritchies road and slowly and sadly implode while he counts the days before he can go to St Louis...

Julio definitely hit Maggs intentionally. Hes our star player and the hero of that game and Julio hit him in the square of the back with a fastball. Definitely intentional. And hsc, that was a great selfless move Bartolo made. He coulda inflated his stats and made himself look better, but instead he decided that someone had to pay for Maggs getting hit and he acted. Very selfless indeed...

Ahh, Hairston isnt really a scrub. Hes not as good as Maggs but hes important to the Orioles so Id say hes a good target for retaliation...

Just ditch him before he ditches Thomas. That is all I ask...

Well first, he pitched a great game. But what really made him great was that he gave up a chance to get a complete game and decided instead to stand up for his best hitter. I think Julio pegged Maggs intentionally. Just look at it. He pegged our best hitter and the hero of the game. If he pegged Crede or something, I wouldve said it was probably an accident. But this was our best hitter and it hit him in the middle of the back. This wasnt a nick on the hand. And I think Colon probably asked Manuel before the inning if he could drill Hairston because it was obvious Colon could have gone the distance easily yet Kelly Wunsch started warming in the pen before the inning. And Terry Craft came out before the inning to warn Colon and Colon just ignored him. He didnt even look at him. Then Colon missed with the first pitch and came back and nailed Jerry the second time around. I thank Manuel for letting Colon do it but Colon definitely wanted to peg somebody as soon as Maggs got hit, and I love that. And what exactly was Hairston doing? When he got hit he just stood there but when Surhoff restrained him he got all tough and acted like he wanted to charge Colon. Coward. But I dont really blame him, Colon would have eaten him as a late nite snack. Colons awesome!!!!!!!!
