  1. So maybe they will stink, but atleast keep the hope that there is hope...
  2. There is an aweful lot of pessimism on this board being spewed out by certain members. People who think that 2003 for the Sox is just doomed from the beginning. Im not going to name anybody but those people know who Im talking about. Im not even necessarily saying you are wrong, Im just asking for you guys to end it. You can think it for all I care, but please dont share it with us. Just leave some hope for those that do have hope.
  3. Woohoo! Everybody have a happy Thanksgiving! I cant wait, we get an early release tomorrow! And then Im gonna play football all Thanksgiving morning and then Im gonna watch the Skins on TV! Yall have a safe time too, a'ight?
  4. But he didnt snitch! He wanted to right after the series but that was a bit late! He coulda gone and given some names and Commy woulda solved everything. But he kept quiet until the horse was outta the barn and its f***ed us over for nearly a century. Good job Joe! You can stay outta Cooperstown for eternity for all I f***ing care...
  5. Ty Cobb was the biggest asshole ever to play the game. But Ruth, Mantle and JACKSON are up there too. Im reading Eliot Asinofs book on the series right now. And heres what I think. JJ was of less blame but the fact that he didnt rat his friends out (the dumbass was only illiterate, he could atleast talk, one would hope) means he is just as responsible. We were the motherf***ing Yankees until these cheating assf***s came along. He can go to hell with the likes of Chick Gandil and Eddie Cicotte. f*** all the dirty bastards! Buncha illiterate Confederate pricks, they were... Hell, Im surprised they could actually figure that Comiskey was totally ripping them, being as dirty and uneducated as they were. Comiskey was great! Ah.... But, honestly, I think Ed Walsh is our best ever pitcher and Frank is our best ever hitter. Ed Walsh not only leads the team in career ERA but the major leagues. HE WAS THE MAN. And then Frank holds the records in franchise history for most offensive categories...
  6. OK, so maybe the Sox havent been the best team but does that make them ineligible to be my favorite team? No. Also, I disagree with you (among other things) on Joe Jackson being the best player this team has ever had. He was a drunk, an illiterate, and, in the end, a loser. He is the one whos cursed this team for its entire history. We were the Yankees until this cocksucker came along and threw the series and sent us into an unending downward spiral. Frank, Thomas, Nelli Fox or Ed Walsh are our best ever players. And Im overexxagerating on my reactions to Sox losses. Certain games only I get over emotional. Like when we blew Buehrles last game to the Twins or other close/important losses like that. Or when we blow one late. But I never get upset when the Bears lose. Ive heard of Dick Butkus but I really didnt know much more about him. I never thought he was as good as you say. I also wasnt sure if you were talking about Urlacher (I was hoping you werent tho because that would just be dumb). I wont ever claim to be a Bears fan again, OK? And what f***ing glory? The Bears havent seen any f***ing glory in over a f***ing decade!
  7. How will it cost us? He wont cost us any players like Ritchie did. Its only a small fee in baseball terms. We could use Daal. He would be a cheap David Wells. Good pitching (well, Wells didnt do that but Daal will!) while possibly teaching something to our youngsters... GREAT DEAL!!!!!!!
  8. Well then, if you think the Sox suck so much and youre so unhappy why dont you go root for the Yankees, you prick. I dont think Ive ever been a diehard Bears fan. If people would ask me who I like, Id say the Bears. And that would be the end of the conversation. If somebody asked me which baseball team I like Id say the Sox and Id ramble on for hours about all the times Ive been to Comiskey and how I saw Frank Thomas hit two in a game and how I saw Carlos Lee make a fantastic homerun catch and so on. But with the Bears, Ive never been to Soldier Field. I dont know much of their history (who is this all time greatest mlb?). I never really go ballistic when they lose (thats a good thing or else Id be one ballistic motherf***er) as I do when the Sox lose. When the Sox lose, I dont eat, I snarl at anyone who tries to talk to me and I become a very mean person. When the Bears lose, I say "OK" or "Oh well" and go on with my everyday activities. Ill stick with the Sox forever, if they win a WS during my lifetime, terrific, but if they dont I still love em! My days of being a Bears fan were limited from the start, I just never really liked em like I did the Sox.
  9. HELL NO! The Sox are great, they always have been and they always will be. They have potential and theyve been good, or atleast decent, for many years. They are a team with great tradition and Ive actually been able to witness some of it. 93, 94, 00...
  10. I love this idea! Daal would be great... For anyone opposed to the whole idea, a few things to point out: - Hes cheap. - He can eat innings and give you a strong second starter. - Which one would you rathe have, Buehrle Wright Garland Ritchie Rauch or Buehrle Daal Wright Garland Rauch? Ill take the latter... Ive always been one of Daals biggest fans. Id support KW hardcore if he made this deal.
  11. Maybe the Redskins are racistly named, but who really cares? No one is trying to make fun of Native Americans with this name. I didnt go to the team for its name, I went to em because I love the team... And cwsox, I cant go root for the Dolphins, that really would be bandwagoning. The Dolphins and Pats are both good teams. And, jjav, Im not leaving the Bears because of one bad season. Theyve been horrible for almost a decade. During that time theyve had one good season. But they blew it in the playoffs and and then they proved it was a fluke by going on an eight game losing streak this year! :puke. Seriously, this team is just bad. I wasnt alive during these allegedly great Bears teams of the early 80's (the fact that this crap team was ever even decent surprises me) so I dont really care about their great tradition they got from these teams. This team just sickens me. I hate the Bears. This hatreds been brewing inside of me for a long time and to see a team that really plays football play enlightened me and let all my anger towards the Bears out. Good luck, Bears fans, any guesses on how badly you finish? Atleast the Skins still have a shot at a winning record. The Bears are just back to their old form...
  12. Well, now Im the Skins biggest fan. The Bears are horrible. Im done with their crap. Theyve been horrible for nearly a decade with one fluke year in between. The Redskins arent great but I love em!
  13. with the Washington Redskins... I watched them on Fox today and they were winning 20-10. A ripoff call for the Rams (cant remember what) lead to a Rams touchdown, now 20-17. Time was running out for the Rams. There was under a minute left and they had no timeouts. I have a habit of rooting for whoever is losing if my team is not in the game. Well today, it was different, I was rooting diehard for the Skins. The Rams got down to about the Washington 30 and Warner went for the endzone, the ageless Darrell Green (who is probably my favorite player ever) jumped in front of Tori Holt and almost intercepted it but as he came down on his side he got injured badly. As he started to get up the entire stadium was chanting "Darrell! Darrell! Darrell!". The next play was a run by Troy Canidate all the way to the 6 yardline. I thought my new favorite team was surely doomed. With 17 seconds left and one play to score before settling for overtime, Warner went back. Lavar Arrington rushed in and hit KW in the side. As the ball popped loose KW turned and you could just see the terror in his face, the knowledge that he had just blown the game and ended the Rams 5 game winning streak. Daryl Gardner charged in, shoved Warner out of the way and dove on the football that was destined for his arms. Several meaningless penalties and challenges ensued but in the end my Redskins prevailed. Fox then showed a review to the Bears win (finally) but it didnt matter. I was already a Washington diehard. Do not think for one second that Im a bandwagoner. First off, the Skins are 5-6. And second, I was already rooting for them long before they won...

    bahaha

Yeah, I think theyll get killed but Id rather not have seen then there in the first place. Michigan and Navarre in particular blew it...

Too bad Michigan couldnt take down OSU... But atleast my beloved Nittany Lions won...
  16. I was reading about how Richard Hidalgo got shot a few days ago and the article also mentioned how Maggs narrowly escaped some thieves two weeks ago in some town like 200 miles from Caracas. Heres the link: http://www.espn.go.com/mlb/news/2002/1123/1465345.html It only briefly mentions Maggs. Does anyone else have a complete article on this?
  17. OMG, I feel retarded. In midst of my anger I didnt even realize the game wasnt even over... Im so dumb. Thats why I dont follow basketball anymore...
  18. They lost 72-65 to the Lakers? The Lakers f***in suck this year! Too bad the bulls suck worse. How can they score only seven points in the final quarter? Kudos to em for shutting down LA at the end but they coulda won in their offense backed them up at all. With that defense, 8 more points coulda won the game. BTW, did I miss some NBA rule induction that has cut down on total points? I saw scores like 72-65, 66-58, 69-61 and 75-72...

    Bulls lose

Oh, how I loved the old team. They were just great. They would go on 8 game winning streaks (unthinkable for these new bozos) and nobody would think anything of it. They would win 60 and no one would be surprised. I remember a day when the Nets were up by 16 at the half and the Bulls not only won, they won by 32! Thats a 48 point difference in the second half! Thats truely incredible. That team was just the best. Heck, when they beat Seattle for the championship a few years back, I walked in to my hotel in Honolulu, saw it at the bottom of espn and simply pumped my fist, highfived my dad and went back to the beach. Maybe that was because I was in Hawaii but Im pretty sure we were just spoiled. This new team, I hate em. Theyre born losers, nothing compared to the old guys. I no longer care about the Bulls, this aint the team I know and love, their cheap replacements. Bitter, I know I am, but correct I also am...
  20. Everyone go to chat and well have a huge chat party! I love using chat...
  21. Yeah, youre right about her WSF. If shes just s***ting me, just fine. But I have no evidence of that so Ill just go with the flow. Remember, like that guy in "Undersiege II" said, "Assumption is the mother of all f***ups". Hes damn right...
  22. I said "lol" at the end of that post. That probably meant that I knew you were joking and I was joking back... And Ive thought that was the difference for quite a while Ive just never been sure...
  23. I THINK I GOT IT! An orgasm is the end result of masturbation or sex while an orgy is hot, sweaty group sex! Do we have a winner?
  24. Wait, shes a nice girl but youve never talked to her? Then how would you know shes nice? Well, whatever, you should go talk to her. Did she just move in? If so, you should go over and like welcome her to the neighborhood... And I saw the cheergirl again today and this time I actually went back to my old habit of waving with some degree of emotion. Im not gonna ruin the way she thinks of me because she maybe isnt being completely honest with me. Now if I do find out that she is just f***ing around Ill give her a certain obscene gesture but if she keeps waving theres no way Ill do something so cruel...
