  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 10:47 PM) This post is random as hell when I see your join date and post count. I was referencing my other account, which they suspended because they couldn't take the trash talk. Bittersweet victory for me, tired of annoying Bears fans giving me s*** and being cocky all year so this was the icing on the cake how it all worked out. Football or no football next year, were repeating next year or living with this memory two season from now.
  2. SUPER BOWL f***ING CHAMPS!!! Rodgers got his belt and the well deserved MVP. I'd like to thank the Eagles for their amazing comeback vs. the Giants for us to make the playoffs, and the Bears for "letting/not trying" vs us in week 17. What now Bears fans? chitown aka ChWRoCk2
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) NFL Network's Albert Breer reports that, "no matter what they say," the Packers plan to test Steelers fill-in C Doug Legursky early and often in Super Bowl XLV. "And they expect big things from B.J. Raji," adds Breer. "I don't think Green Bay really believed (Maurkice) Pouncey would play." Even if Pouncey did play how effective do you think he would be on a high ankle sprain? Steelers line was already banged up so Green Bay should terrorize their linemen.
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 04:10 PM) He really only made one bad pass the entire game though, and the Packers played a pretty conservative game considering they were up by 2 touchdowns for most of the game. He played well early and they went into kill the clock mode later pretty much throughout the entirety of the second half (especially when Cutler didn't take the field after the Urlacher pick). Had the Packers needed to drive down the field, I'm pretty sure Rodgers could have done it. He simply didn't need to. The game was closer than it should have been, Green Bay could have very well went into the half up 21-0. Rodgers played fine, and yes, McCarthy was being very conservative with his play calls in the second half. It bugs the hell out of me but if we are up in a game he plays to not lose rather than continuing with what worked earlier, teams then usually catch up. The saving grace for this team has been our defense and they continue to keep us in games and eventually our offense will put up some points. I'm not surprised Hanie was so successful vs. our defense, the backup QB is someone you don't prepare for going into a game and once they come in everything changes in terms of playcalling, Hanie did well, he reminded me of Matt Flynn.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 11:13 PM) Um, if you were banned, you couldn't post here. I was referencing another account. Not my fault nobody can handle a little Bears-Packers trash talking.
  6. NFC f***ING CHAMPS!!! Next time have the decency to message someone letting them know they were banned, enjoy your loss

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 07:57 AM) I had a couple friends in one of those running sports. One of them wasn't watching and ran straight into the back side of a stop sign. Well they only stay stop on one side
  8. 48/48 but i did place some of them wrong at first
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 04:00 PM) Illinois not getting a bye is a HUGE blessing in disguise IMO, they'll beat Penn State and get in I think. Plus, they can beat Indiana in a game played in Chicago for sure I think, but then again I haven't thought much of Indiana all year so I'm biased, but I'd rather see them than Wisky, Ohio State, MSU, or even Purdue. Id have to agree with you, Illinois getting the 6 spot is a blessing one more win for their resume, just hope they dont get beat by Penn St again.
  10. Final Four Right Now are: Texas Ohio St So Il (even w/loss to creighton they are strong perimeter team) Kansas
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 4, 2007 -> 06:24 PM) I hope Iowa wins the tourney just to ensure that the Illini don't get in. Its a joke that the big ten may actually get 5 teams in. And no I don't think Iowa deserves a bid either, nor does Purdue or Illinois (albeit both deserve a bid more so than Iowa) and I have my doubts about MSU but they'll probably get one (thanks to having a big time win). Illinois, Iowa, and Purdue should be NIT bound. Funny thing is this year has been a second consecutive very very good coaching job by Alford because he got everything he could out of this quad. Illinois, Iowa and Purdue kind of all screwed each other in hoping to get a bid into the tourney. Illinois and Iowa both dont have any credible wins that could warrant them a seed into the tourney. Purdue has two. Purdue hasnt beaten Iowa but Illinois has. Illinois obviously has the better shot due to their position in the Big ten tourney to make the NCAA Tournament. Myself Im a Purdue fan and if the commitee has to choose between them and the Illini the choice should be easy, go with Purdue due to not only Purdue beating up on them but having more credible wins to their resume.
  12. Interesting deal as it benefits both teams in my opinion. Denver gets one heck of a corner besides Bailey as many of you has stated but with Shanahans ability to change different RBs into stars they should be alright. Mike Bell had a decent year and if they do happen to get Mcgahee chaulk this team up for a big year. Putting all the pressure on Cutlers shoulders. Lions on the other hand needed linemen and Foster is a good bet for them and Bell gives them plenty of speed along with Jones. Maybe if they replace their QB with idk Troy Smith and sign some defenders they could be above 500.
  13. Al Central Standings: 1) Detroit 94-68 2) Chicago 92-70 3) Cleveland 88-74 4) Minnesota 84-78 5) KC 66-96 Al East: 1) NY 2) Boston 3) Toronto 4) Baltimore 5) TB AL West: Go on a limb saying no team in this div wins 90+ 1) Angels 2) Mariners 3) As 4) Rangers NL Central 1) Cardinals 2) Cubs 3) Reds 4) Astros 5) Brew 6) Pit NL East 1) Mets 2) Braves 3) Phils 4) Marlins 5) Nats NL West 1) Pads 2) Dodgers 3) Giants 4) Dbacks 5) Rocks White Sox Predictions: Settle for the Wild Card: Reasoning: AL West is gonna be very weak this year with As losing Zito, Angels are relying on youth. No strong team capable of a WC spot. Buehrles era back in the 3s this year. Jenks leads league in saves. Floyd becomes our 5th man. Sox among league leaders in steals.
  14. QUOTE(T R U @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:27 PM) If the Celtics were smart they would trade Pierce and just rebuild.. Fire Ainge too Yeah their franchise is really going down the drain ever since that trade of Ricky Davis it seems they lost a scoring threat besides Pierce, plus Pierces injuries exactly didnt help. Might be a longshot to say but Oden might just be good enough to mesh with Pierce and turn the Celtics around in a heartbeat, only speculation.
  15. Garland seems to have been the most consistent of the bunch. I therefore think hes our ace but year after year Buehrle has been chosen for this role and I dont see that changing.
  16. QUOTE(danman31 @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) Subtract a couple years off the men and a year or two off women and you are right. Durant in all likelihood is done. I'm taking Oden because I can't pass on size. I will always, always, always take the 7 footer. Agree with you all the way, you cant pass up a talent like Oden, unfortunately I dont think the Knicks will fall to a point where the Bulls might be able to nab him. Thats for the lottery to decide though. Durant I dont know if Im sold on him yet, Oden is one thing, he has game and hell he can do it with both hands. Durant I think might need a year, somewhat of a selfish player in my eyes but helps his team win and is very competitive, probably a trait overlooked in drafting NBA players. Currently I think the Celtics could be in more of a need for Oden, him and Pierce would be fun to watch and Id likely suspect Durant to go to Memphis. (Just an ealry prediction, if they decide to forgo another year of college ball) Just my 2 cents.
