QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) That would be an excellent chance for Marte to prove he still has it. That would be a big-time hold for the bullpen. JUST THOUGHT OF THIS: Carlos still contributing to the Sox cause as he was the one responsible for putting Walker on the shelf. Hate to see an injury...but, thanks caballo. So now Carlos is sliding in hard into 2nd Base....isn't this the same guy who did not slide hard late last season....something was publicized in the media and by Ozzie and Rowand?
-
Why do we replace Dye with Timo with a one run lead and Dye's at bat coming up next?
-
Cruddy and Widger with hits Pods...get them in man
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Castilla sucks away from Coors... LOL, Addy, "Joe for 2" right on the money again. I'm gonna laugh and think of you everytime he starts off the AB 0 and 2. Castilla had 35 HRs last year, 21 of which were away from Coors And your point is.....????

Ozuna looks like crap again....I am surprised Rowand at 0.120 now and Ozuna at 0.143
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) Rowand=every day starter Seen his avg lately.

Once Frank comes back, I would split Rowand and Carl at LF with Pods at CF...once in a while I would give Pods a break and let Guch lead off with Uribe 2nd in the line up Especially against tough right handers 7 match ups that he has dominated in the past, I would play Carl instead of Rowand Pods Guch Frank Carl Kong Dye is a sweet top 6 line up with lefties and righties
-
Tie game
-
Guch strikes out Why was he not bunting from the start?
-
Freddie seems to be on today but he must feel like pitching for Seattle this year
-
I hope you "Crede support group" members have a day job
-
And now Cruddy leaves two men on base Maybe he should have hit his single for the month in this at bat After this set of at bats Rowand 0.125 Ozuna 0.167 Widger 0.000 Cruddy 0.174
-
And now Ozuna leaves Rowand to die .... tinkeroo is working
-
Come on Ozuna, prove me wrong with Rowand on base now
-
Ozzie has not gone with the same line up for the last 4 games either
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:12 PM) And if the Sox lose today are you just going to assume that Pierzynski would have won us the game if he was starting instead of Widger and say you were right? :rolly Not true, but I would blame this move as one of the reasons. Too bad if you would not admit it as being the case because it would make you look bad in your apriori analysis Hey look, Ozuna and his wonderful fielding
-
Thank God Ozzie decided to bench AJ and Uribe today Who needs them against Millwood?
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 08:00 PM) It's a shame that you are wrong this time. That's fine, you can disagree. I hope those players prove me wrong today, but until now it does not seem to be the case

QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) ozuma is hitting .200 in what: 4 at bats??? widger has 1 at bat arow will get going crede remains to be seen: he did get one hit today Yeah Crede is 0.182 AFTER he got his hit today....thanks for proving my point
-
I am happy with this team too and in general, I am supportive of Ozzie, but that does not mean I will not call out what I think is a mistake Geez, it seems like one can never point anything wrong with any decision made by this team. Must be because of all of the WS rings they have won the past 5 years....err I mean 80 years

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) We got beat yesterday, plan and simple. We won the series, we're playing another game RIGHT NOW I know that and my post was intended based on the game we are playing RIGHT NOW Rowand 0.125 Ozuna 0.200 Widger 0.000 Crede 0.182
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) And when you don't give your starting catcher a day off after starting 5 straight games, his knees will turn to jelly, and he will be burned out for future games against your division rivals. I'm sure A.J. was started against the Twins last night to once again f*** with the Twins' hitters. Before the series began, Jacque Jones even told his teammates not to listen to the crap A.J. would taunt them with from behind the plate. "What part of that you do not understand?" That sure worked out well :rolly

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Hitting in the .210's is awesome for podsednik and that was not an error by cruddy. It may not have officially counted as an error, but he was responsible for that. Uribe had a shot if Crede had only let it go.
-
And Millwood looks like Roger Clemens again....gee I wonder if that has anything to do with our last 4 hitters being 0.125 0.200 0.000 0.182

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) sox-r-us = owned. How exactly? Ozzie tinkers as much as Jerry M if not more. And Ozzie has yet to win anything more than Jerry did.
