  1. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 7, 2007 -> 03:51 PM) I dont mind dealing with the Redsox but Ellsbury and Bucholz would atleast have to be in the discussion. I still cant believe someone actually thought Willy Mo Pena for Buehrle is a fair deal... thats just utterly ridiculous. Im not that high on Bowden really but to be fair I really dont know all that much about him either. Hasn't it been determined that neither Ellsbury or Bucholz will be moved?
  2. At this point, all you can do is laugh. This team is pathetic.
  3. http://www.projo.com/redsox/content/sp_bb_...C3.2d56fce.html Curt Schilling is out past the All-Star break. Maybe the Red Sox are more interested in Buehrle than we think.
  4. The NTC is worthless. There isn't a doubt in my mind if Mark Buehrle senses the team needs to go in a different direction, he'd be open to a trade. It's sickening that the White Sox won't give him one.
  5. It's for the best that he didn't resign. Can you imagine him agreeing to the deal and then the White Sox getting that uber-prospect deal from the Red Sox or Mets and trading him? Lets be honest here. The whole reason to try and get him signed on cheap money was to trade him for what the White Sox saw as fair value, something they aren't going to be getting without a contract extension.
  6. I was curious and flipped to USA. Vince looked like hell... just wow. RIP Benoits.
  7. If this is part of a storyline, I'll vomit.
  8. QUOTE(GreenSox @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) We rented Freddie Garcia for far more than 2 B prospects (sure we extended him - after we rented him). People were going ga-ga over the opportunity to rent AJ Burnett 2 years ago ( 2 of MCCarthy, Crede, Conteras and Sweeney etc.). It's funny how when we are looking to rent, the price isn't so cheap. I think it's because Buehrle had such a horrible year last year.
  9. This has been out for atleast 6 months now. Old news.
  10. You guys are ridiculous. He's hit 600 home runs in his career. Congratulations.
  11. I completely agree. Some of my buddies are into American Idol, into Dancing With The Stars, etc. and it seriously bugs me that they'd rather watch that crap than a hockey game. Why has the sport gone so downhill in America? Kids still play it now-a-days, don't they?
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs2007...tory?id=2894490 Will this sport last with Bettman at the helm? What a shame..
  13. When are we going to start dismantling this team?
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 28, 2007 -> 07:38 PM) AHAHHHAHAHA. Did you really just infer that Noah would have stepped up and hit a big shot? The kid can barely shoot from outside 2 feet from the hoop. That wasn't what I inferred. He's a horrible shooter. If Skiles gave him the opportunity to shoot at any point in the game, no less a big spot, he could, would and should be fired immediately. There were many reasons for the Bulls downward spiral in game three, but one of them was a lack of energy and a lack of emotion/leadership in that third and fourth quarter. If you don't mind me asking, if Noah isn't the man the Bulls take with the ninth pick, who do they go after? QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 27, 2007 -> 06:07 PM) No, people don't like Noah because his ceiling is extremely limited and when you're picking ninth in such a (proclaimed) deep draft, you want a better/higher ceiling player. He has very little post game to speak of and absolutely no jump shot. This comparison might not be 100% apt, but Noah seems like a much less athletic version of Tyrus Thomas. You're probably right, perhaps I was buying too much into both nbadraft.net and draftexpress.com's analysis of who the Bulls will take. Who do you like at the ninth spot?
  15. People don't like Noah because he's a tough, gritty, talkative young kid whose had success two years running now. Personality aside, he'd be an excellent addition to the Bulls. He rebounds, he plays hard, and he does all the little things. When the Bulls started to slip in game three, nobody stepped up and hit a big shot, nobody stepped up and took the team on their back, nobody gave the team a lashing that was much needed. I'm not saying the Bulls beat Detroit with Noah on the team, but I will say that they probably don't lose game three at home which was when the series ended, if Noah is on that team. I like him in a Bulls uni.
  16. Oden will be in Portland, Durant will be in Seattle (until they move). Period. Lets not kid ourselves.
  17. Not even Portland is dumb enough to trade out of that number one spot. Not a single chance.
  18. The Sonics won't even be in Seattle after next season. Portland has been an attendance cellar dweller ever since they became the Jailblazers and Atlanta is just an awful market at this point. I feel for the Griz and the Celtics.

My question was answered, there was no need for you to say what you said. I looked up and down the board for this thread, I didn't think it would be second page fodder considering how foolish the manager of our team acted on the radio. Carry on.
