  1. We already had reason to be concerned with Lynn due to age and conditioning. He needs to be in the 94-95 mph range to be effective. From the everything that can go wrong will go wrong Sox season.
  2. Nobody would give up a single prospect for him right now, let alone a past first round pick...unless they're a Top 6-8 payroll team with massive risk tolerance like the Mets, Giants or Dodgers, who will need to replace Turner soon.
  3. Adequate, average to slightly below defense depending upon the position. Solid PRer but prone to mental mistakes on the basepaths as well as in the field. Bad routes in the OF. Solid to above average arm depending on which OF spot.
  4. Twins passed the first big test of the season trouncing Cortes after getting curbstomped last night. Guardians will wait until 1-2 a.m. to get their victory at home.
  5. Menechino Rick Hahn Non-Committal Statement of Support Watch Day 1
  6. There's always OU/TX softball. Pretty incredible that's the more rational viewing choice. Or Game 3.
  7. Tallest midget. We will spend the next decade apologizing for the Sox at this rate.
  8. You just can't beat the Dodgers with five sub 600 ops hitters in the lineup and your #5 vs. their #2/3
  9. By qualified at bats, he is the worst by a wide margin at OPS.
  10. Dunn/LaRoche/Keppinger to name a few. Alonso...although already fading. Encarnacion see above.
  11. Depends on Plesac/Civale, health of rotation and using that incredible middle infield depth in their system.
  12. The Guardians might end up being the team we are chasing in the second half if their offense holds up and they actually make some positive additions at the deadline.
  13. Archer Wacha Martin Perez The Sox need to pull a Quintana or Esteban Loiaza out of their butts again. Cueto has at least kept us around .500 and not 8-10 games under the underlying numbers would suggest. 3.71 ERA would be around #4 in most rotations.
  14. We know Grandal has to catch sometimes and he won't be DFA'ed this year regardless, but Leury and Sheets also can't be dragging the lineup down simultaneously. With Moncada and Harrison, though, options are limited. McGuire at least brings his own set of positives to the lineup.
  15. Furcalito strikes again. Except Leury Garcia and prime Rafael Furcal don't exactly belong in the same sentence.
  16. On the plus side, this game might be the one to get Sheets sent packing and force "Anthony Hahn" to actually fix the problem.
  17. That said, who sets the tone, and is responsible for the collective morale? Would your golf teams finish exactly the same if they went to tournaments without you...because golf tends to be even more of a solitary, man vs. the course, type of endeavor.
  18. Mazara .300, RBI, .764 ops. 10 at bats haha. Placeholder like Trayce earlier in the year.
  19. Zack Collins back with TOR. Homer #4. .203 BA. Also threw out a runner.
  20. Before injury, Sale was pretty close to a surefire HoF candidate…that’s a pretty high bar. Higher than Buehrle and Konerko.
  21. Vaughn, Vera, Kopech and Montgomery. The White Sox wouldn’t even give him over $350 million even if there was no prohibitive cost in talent to consider. Non-starter. Padres would offer Abrams, Hassell, Campusano, Weathers, etc. We can’t match that without impacting our major league team even moreso than we would be adding, assuming Vaughn was playing 1st where he actually belongs.
  22. Twins' current state of the rotation Ober, Ryan, Gray, Winder all out but returning June 10-21. Only two remaining guys from original group are Archer and Bundy. Paddack out for the season. Smeltzer, Gonzalez and Sands starters #8, 9, 10 currently trying to hold down the fort. Kenta Maeda theoretically will return from surgery during the last 4 to 6 weeks of year. Maybe.
