  1. McGuire is playing so much he might be on the All Star ballot and finish last in voting.
  2. Need Veeck's Eddie Gaedel trick to at least walk in a run.
  3. Can't buy a big hit this season. 1/20 with bases loaded? 21 now?
  4. Despite the collapse that 2020 season was a lot of fun. We also miss Mercedes Hamilton Goodwin the sparks off the bench last year.
  5. You absolutely can't do that. You need to try a new hitting coach or manager before tearing the core of the team apart. Moncada probably does desperately need a change of scenery...but we have to get a similar talent back somehow.
  6. I can't remember a GM with a worse record for one decade who actually managed to blow up a budding rebuild...heck most fantasy owners could have fared better with the same budget.
  7. LaRoche Melky Bonifacio Beckham and whoever the catcher was...Robertson only somewhat decent move.
  8. Next five years and then traded to a more competitive organization with the ability to hand out a $200~250 million extension.
  9. I honestly would rather have Mark Johnson and Royce Clayton at the bottom of the order. He at least flirted with the Mendoza Line.
  10. Now everyone is a lot more familiar with Pollock's limitations. That outlier 3.0 fWAR with the Dodgers last year certainly isn't carrying over on either side of the ball.
  11. Isn't it THIC or THICC? We could use the Colombian reggaeton artist formerly known as Jose Hard Luck Quintana about right now.
  12. Isn't that the very definition of sports, live unscripted action, see something you've never seen before entertainment? Whatever the Sox are right now it's NOT that. It might be verging on embarrassment by the end of Sunday.
  13. The attitude of the Big 4 Cubans seems to be taking over the team..at least offensively base running fielding-wise. Anderson too. At least he's hitting the ball all over the park recently. Heck Vaughn's managed to be pulled down into the malaise too.
  14. But Hernandez memorably had their number over multiple games. This is no shocker.
  15. No reason to even throw a fastball against the Sox unless way behind in the count and zero confidence in locating off speed stuff. Hernandez ranging from 92-97. (Lol. Cano is outhitting and fielding entire Sox team these last two games.) We still can't begin to judge veteran players.
  16. Sox hitters were under .200 against him and sub 600 OPS over 46 ab's entering this one so wouldn't be a surprise at all regardless of his other starts. Some pitchers just have a team's number.
  17. That's a good question. Which defensive metric would actually pick up on that throw that eventually led to two runs scoring but never reflected in a box score...?
  18. Somehow we are 4-6 in 5th/sub starts. Covey had what, one win? He had one really great effort against the Indians...but one of the worst W/L records in recent memory.
  19. Just about as expected when you see the call at first overturned. Hunter Dozier entered this series 4/58 life time against Sox...remember that massive collision with Abreu?
