Hendriks in yet again...1 walk and 26 k’s in 15.33 ip. But four homers allowed, and 13 hits is a bit high, too.

Have only made two playoffs, lol. Committed to Excellence. The Will to Win, etc.

2005 ALCS...the only pitcher we lost to, former Royal Paul Byrd over The Count.

He definitely didn’t have a 2.40 ERA for the Sox...and got a higher salary. Great, Leury/TLR love fest will now continue on for at least another month.

Hamilton 3/29 coming into this game....in all other action other than his four hit effort. Now 3/32. Still prefer THAT to Leury.

No, absolutely not.

Or Keuchel/Lynn...65 pitches for Kopech. Charlotte wins another game, Felipe Paulino pitched pretty well although not many K’s. Rutherford going pretty good now. Let’s not give up a bomb or walk to Santana, por favor! Bummer warming up. Aced him with the changeup.

He’s not THAT young anymore. But yeah, he should be in his prime.

Uh oh...at least he’s starting the inning rather than coming into a mess.

Mercedes scuffling a bit...started the game with that ridiculous called strike 3. Another K with bases loaded. Now, 6 left on base. Leading hitter in the AL and maybe majors entering the game. Opposing pitchers trying to keep everything away/off the plate...

Moncada climbing towards 800 ops. 778 as of now. Garcia finally over .500, haha.

You just expect Moncada to go down like Ozzie Guillen that year he collided with his LFer...think that was a knee. Of course, it’s Leury wandering or meandering into Yoan, not Vaughn.

That was a better pitch than the called strike to Yermin. It’s just like Moncada 2018 season where he was consistently screwed. Now, Kopech and Yermin have drawn the ire of umpires for reasons unknown.

Wait, how did Lamb not make it into either lineup but Leury started twice. That wasn’t even close. Jesus of Nazareth. It’s like they’re intentionally being inept...or random. Can at least the bench coach be bothered enough to argue?? Narron? Heck, KW cursing and turning over the buffet table in the umpires’ room would work, too.

Wasn’t it more about appearance/shape?

You know it’s bad when Burger at-bats are more interesting. 0/2 so far, hardly walking or striking out...in the early going this season.

Madrigal really going into a slump, at least for him...if you were gambling in 1917, you would think the White Sox were intentionally trying to throw this one. Other than Kopech on the bump.

Love Benetti trying to hype a 729 opsing Benintendi... No bad Ben-intentions jokes? Be careful with Perez...doesn’t even really need to be said. WTF? Go to the AI robot calls, please.

Can we have a separate thread for masking debates...we’re so lucky in America, in other countries, they might throw you in prison for refusing to register for a Sinovac/Chinese vaccine shot many medical experts around the world don’t even trust.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
The northeastern province of Buriram has become the first province in Thailand to mandate COVID-19 vaccination for all individuals aged 18 and older, with possible penalties as high as two years in prison and a maximum of 60,000 Baht. Buriram Governor Thatchakorn Hatthathayakul urged every individual, aged 18 or more, living or working in Buriram, to submit their COVID-19 risk assessment form and apply for vaccination through the publicly available channels by May 31st. The channels include door-to-door approach by public health volunteers, online registration or personal visits to hospitals or health offices in the province. Failure to apply by May 31st is liable to one month in prison and/or a fine of 10,000 Baht. "Anutin (Thai health minister) backed Buriram for making Covid vaccines compulsory for high-risk groups with a fine of up to 40,000 baht and a jail term of up to two years." https://twitter.com/erich_parpart/status/1393146410342649861 Ironically, Thailand only has limited amounts of AstroZeneca (clotting concerns, as well as over women under 45 and pregnancies), Sinovac and Sputnik...which everyone is wary of for varying reasons. No access to US vaccines, even in private hospitals. Imagines how Greg would protest against this...and the further irony of jailing anyone pretty much ensures at-risk individuals will really get sick due to overcrowded Thai prison conditions.
