  1. Partied with Clevinger? Not used to playing games at this time of the day. But should be adjusted by now.
  2. 3/19 with RISP doesn't win many series
  3. Swanson in some ways deserves MVP for this series. Would have been 2-1.
  4. He's not worth $18 million or whatever.
  5. Good pitching always does that in postseason. SD hasn't looked good on offense since early in Dodgers NLDS last year.
  6. Estrada stanched the bleeding at least.
  7. Hinch was looking like he was going to end up getting fired a week ago. Resilient bunch. Bogaerts isn't a good SS either. PS: PCA is a jackass.
  8. Doesn't look like they're picking up the ball well at this time of the day...
  9. Darvish and Bogaerts deals are what really weigh down the franchise. Musgrove has to come back at 100% or the rotation is just way too thin without another miracle signing like they got in Pivetta. King/Vasquez are going to have to pitch in this at some point to cover 8. Estrada can go 2 but it might not even matter. SD hitters really frustrated.
  10. 42 I think
  11. well that could have been 100 times worse still a game
  12. Cleveland at least will have a puncher's chance in the 9th.
  13. That's what happens when you cut payroll down from $325-350 million all the way down to $200ish. Which is still $150 more than Sox next year lol. Ofc the odds of making the post season next year without Arraez King Cease and Suarez and nothing left in the minors aren't all that great.
  14. Complete disaster strikes. At least can go back to bed lol.
  15. Padres pen just can't cover 8+ innings at this point. Had to win G1 and they left a 3-4 run early lead on the basepaths.
  16. Estrada in...3-0 lead is about all this offense can overcome, and Taillon looks really good so far. This was a game SD had to get an early lead on the road and keep the crowd out of it.
  17. King was the best choice based on his whole season's body of work. Randy Vasquez has also pitched some decent starts as well down the stretch.
  18. Game might be over early at this rate...have to limit the damage to just two runs here hopefully.
  19. The problem is if you look at all those pitchers that got hurt...none of them were "can't miss" guys. Blake Larson probably the highest profile, but the Sox almost never have picks succeed from that area of the draft. Berroa Batista Adams Carela Ky Bush...maybe Thorpe was that Top 100 guy at one point, but there was a massive board debate whether he had enough of a FB to be viable before the injuries.
  20. Too many Kevin Hart commercials on tv these days, geez. Although the one where he mimics Shaq's voice "it's everything" is pretty funny.
  21. Out...traded two back end starters to KC for Fermin, but massive improvement over Elias Diaz and Maldonado.
  22. Cleveland luck runs out...in the end, longest suffering fans in baseball compared to Brewers Mariners Padres getting a modern era WS title.
  23. Well....scouting/signing Mike Trout in the late first round and from the Yankees/Mets' backyard probably trumps anything Getz has done so far. Unless Getz has brought a HoFer onboard we don't know about.
  24. Sure it is. Otherwise he would have put it in the Diamond...cutting down those noticing it by 85%. If I put it here, it would have likely resulted in 2-3 snarky comments and the usual emoticons in reaction. Then a follow-up psychoanalysis from Cali and Rockway on the state of board discussion.
  25. The White Sox would just be $750 million to $1 billion in debt, according to Jerry's current thinking on big pitching deals.
