2025 MLB season...catch-all for non-Sox, non AL-Central
30. Colorado Rockies (30-88) Don’t lose 122 games. Improved play over the past month has made it far more plausible that the Rockies will avoid the ultimate infamy of losing more games than the 2024 White Sox, but it’s by no means a sure thing. The Rockies must go 12-32 the rest of the way to reach the 42-win mark that Chicago could not. And with one of baseball’s toughest remaining schedules, including seven more contests against both the Dodgers and the Padres, Colorado is going to have to earn it. Bold prediction: They’ll get it done. yahoo.com/sports

How would I know Antonacci’s nickname? Am I supposed to be clairvoyant?

Fire Chris Getz
President/VP like Epstein when Hoyer took over with the Cubs as GM, or KW with Hahn. The biggest success outside of Crochet might now be Colson, bit but he's going to have to stay over .240 to maintain that 800+ ops down the stretch. Anything in the 750-775 range at the end of the season would be a success...especially if it's both Teel AND Colson together.

8/12 Sox vs. Tigers ~7:30PM
More fun having an NL team to root for, and helps with fantasy baseball knowledge. Tatis Machado Cease Shields, etc., former Sox players or could have been. Jackson Merrill. Fun to watch Arraez hit/not strike out. Like Boggs/Gwynn, throwback unicorn player. GM is not afraid to make moves to elevate WS chances nearly every deadline. Smallest media market in baseball, cheering for LAD certainly is no fun. Most aggressive team in INTL scouting after the Dodgers. Peter Seidler was type of owner the White Sox should have had until he passed away. Beloved by fans. Maybe not his brothers, though, who are more bottom line PE guys and have trimmed payroll by $150 million in the face of huge losses caused by the RSN fiasco. Have never won a WS…along with Seattle Milwaukee Rockies Rays. Padres 1969 Brewers 70 two oldest streaks, goes back to my whole lifetime without a single title.

Poor West Eddy...want to recant your string of offseason Padres' doomsday predictions? Btw, White Sox are playing better than the most expensive team in baseball history, the LA Dodgers.

He seems like a really good candidate to lead this team in the future, along with Colson.

That was more of a choke job and it happened later with the Mets. But PCA and Tucker really cooling off has severely hampered their offensive output.

Brewers up on Skenes 4-0. Cubs could be 7 1/2 back.

Has to lay off the low sllider. Good take. But the off speed gets him again. Needs to cut down his swing and think about making more contact with 2 strikes...that probably won't happen until he goes into an extended dry spell.

Schiff, no more Flaherty Fried Giolito Katz in high school or Vargas swing change stories...

Gomez looking good the first inning. Unfortunately we already have Martin Burke Cannon with pretty much the same stuff. Burke at least has the off speed pure stuff to get more swings and misses when he's right, along with Shane Smith.

Sox should sign Munetaka Murakami
https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=muraka000mun Back from injury...finally. OPS of almost 1.100 for less than a month with Yakult. Sasaki also coming back soon. Will be fascinating to see if Murakami comes over or waits one more year. Muncy Bregman (option to leave likely exercised) LAD Boston Yankees will all have a big say.

Sox and six other teams w/o Top 100 player
Also, note the position/s of Kyle Stowers and Yordan Alvarez, missing with Acuna Jr. Alvarez and Sosa are probably the two best pure hitters of this generation. Also, Mookie Betts just doesn't hit below 70s for a full season. But he has been off since losing 15-20 pounds due to illness first two weeks of the season ( Japan trip).

Would you be on board with a rebrand when Ishbia takes over?
The Sox were only in first that year until mid May...were already facing when the infamous Shields/Johnson/Tatis deal went down. You mean 2006?
