  1. Cholowsky is certainly the safest and likeliest pick. Lombard the highest ceiling and lowest floor. Emerson resides somewhere in the middle.
  2. just take the win one more middle of the order hitter and that lineup becomes legitimate and that's not even considering Kyle Teel for the moment
  3. Colson Mune Martin...but probably only get 2. Mune is the biggest marketing story for mlb internationally right now. Okamoto's slowly surging right behind him. But he lack dsy that big personality and majestic tape measure homers.
  4. https://www.mlb.com/milb/prospects/draft/jacob-lombard-813075 Lombard really is the best play if you want the highest ceiling. The problem is that Mune Colson Braden and Bonemer are all high K rate guys. Miguel Vargas, same story ... hot and cold. You need at least one solid Bregman / Swanson type to balance that all out. Not unrealistically expecting Y.Alvarez/Manny Ramirez/Miguel Cabrera ofc, but the closest type of higher contact, consistent run producing hitter you can possibly find. But if you think you can now develop Billy Carlson/Lombard/Emerson types....go for it.
  5. They would never give the Sox that biggest draft pool in the history of the sport to work with ... not when the Sox are sticking around right on their heels.
  6. There's no rush for now. Let him receive his awards/accolades in June like the league All Star game and then promote him. Still gets almost half the year at the next level.
  7. His time has come and gone. Too much water under that bridge.
  8. I don't just automatically listen to opposing broadcast anymore. As long as no more April 23 Vargas swing change mentions. It's Vargas' growing confidence and added strength/kgs that make 75% of the difference. Senior statesman almost. After the wounded puppy isolated from teammates two years ago. Now doing dog barks and putting teammates on leashes lol...scampering around the dugout and having a lot of fun, usually smiling.
  9. 2026 All Star is better. And an award for resilence after 2024/25.
  10. Mune is a presence. Vargas has been playing excellently. Even a Colson down game overcome by Grichuk Antonacci small ball and then daring to run on Arozarena. Great call by Jirschele to challenge his accuracy. Ended up with a Luis Robert throw.
  11. IS great at least for now wiping out a lot of the Shane Smith slide
  12. He's getting a lot better with a competitive team...though. his enthusiasm offsets Stone's dourness.
  13. Colome Jenks save 1 gb Yoendrys Gomez of all people 1-2-3 save in CLE for the Twins.
  14. Weakness on the bench from RH side. It's either Hill or Pereira healthy. Certainly not Acuna. Sox ran into some good fortune finally.
  15. Statistically he's at least in the top 50% of big league cfers. Like Meidroth, neither a real solution nor the biggest problem.
  16. Drag against a lhp much harder than a push bunt which he's much more comfortable with.
  17. Replaced by who in CF? Hill Pereira Acuna Kelenic? Just not sure they want Braden to deal with CF AND hitting at the same time when he does come up.
  18. He believes his best chance is bunting rather than swinging away. Especially against a tough lefty.
  19. Cant just give away two strikes in that situation. Peters a 4th outfielder on a playoff caliber team.
  20. He's always been a complementary player though.
  21. At least the Twins are holding up their half of the bargain, so far. Cleveland would be back down to .500 again if they can hold on. Newcomb also has been very solid.
  22. Davis Martin a top 5-7 pitcher in baseball at this point, statistically. Definitely not one of the players to be concerned about after 17 consecutive solid starts. That's one half of a season, basically.
  23. hard to imagine them taking a catcher or pitcher.... I know bpa bpa bpa but Sox have that history of drafting to fill holes on the big league roster
  24. SUMMARY 2026 Career WAR 0.9 0.9 AB 116 116 H 30 30 HR 2 2 BA .259 Griffin already headed for at least a 4 bWAR season at his age.
