QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 8, 2009 -> 04:50 PM) Ryan Freel Is Crazy. We all had make believe friends at some point. His just came a little later than most.

QUOTE (knightni @ May 8, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) I would think that most people on Facebook have no lives. I see what you did there. I applaud you.

Jordan vs. LeBron, who you got?

QUOTE (rangercal @ May 7, 2009 -> 07:07 PM) I wonder how many of the Lebron votes so far were from "Bulls haters" Well, I am one of the Lebron votes, and I assume Steve is another and we are both pretty big bulls fans. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 7, 2009 -> 10:05 PM) Agreed. I love LeBron and he is basically Magic Johnson 2.0 right now (probably will be better than him the future) but Kobe is the closest thing we will ever see to a Micheal Jordan, and he still won't be as good. LeBron just doesn't have that vulture/dagger mentality. He is more team oriented. Sure he has his moments every now and then but he really hesitates, especially late in the game or getting the last shot. I don't think that the Lebron being hesitant argument at the end of games is even valid anymore. In case anyone hasn't noticed, he is a man on a mission right now. I think that he is going to develop to at least the second best player of all time, with a better chance than we've seen to eclipse Jordan. -
QUOTE (NIUSox @ May 6, 2009 -> 07:26 AM) Me too. It must be in his genes, if i remember correctly "The Trustee" could always grow it pretty well. Speaking of which is your dad still a trustee? nope, he served his time. My uncle just got elected highway commissioner of aurora though.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 7, 2009 -> 10:00 AM) Please. They allow absolutely no contact now, players used to be able to body up to guys as much as they wanted. If you fart in the general vicinity of Lebron or Wade they call a foul. Yeah, Jordan never got phantom calls. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 7, 2009 -> 09:44 AM) Steve, what the f*** are you smoking? The NBA plays NO defense compared to the days that MJ played. No hand checks...you kidding me? MJ would average 40 a night without many problems. Who the f*** is going to shut down MJ in today's league with todays defense? They couldn't freakin' stop him back then! This is a terrible argument. If anything, the defense is improved with just the sheer athleticism of the game today. These players are bigger and faster than the players in the league when Jordan was coming up. I think the defense in the NBA today is highly underrated. -

Give me Lebron. -
This thread agrees with me at the moment.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 5, 2009 -> 09:37 PM) By the way, Tyrus' per 40 minute averages this year are 15.8 points and 9.3 rebounds. Yes, that means that even if he played more minutes than anyone in the league and kept his rates the same he'd be about as productive as Josh Smith is in 35 minutes. And Josh Smith is awesome.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ May 5, 2009 -> 08:41 AM) Could of told you that. Now that you've realized it, welcome to the club. The I can't grow full facial hair to save my life club. I've got myself a full beard right now.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 4, 2009 -> 05:28 PM) A bit OT, but did anyone else love pitching as Greinke in MVP 2005? The guy threw 94 heat, and a 56 curve, it was silly. Almost nintendo like. I used to play with him on Gamecube. So it was nintendo-like. My friends and I had an agreement that you couldn't use Greinke. His curveball was too hard to hit.

I need to see Sandy Alomar Jr. in this.

I don't shave. Unemployed at the moment. So beard it is.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2009 -> 05:23 PM) They have something similar at the CN Tower in Toronto. It is incredible, and I will be going to do it as soon as it is open. The one in Toronto is awesome, you can see right into the ballpark. Would love to check this one out as well. Don't know if I'd walk on it though.

I've already signed up. I have the same name on there as here.

If Pods gets recalled, will Fields change his #?
kjshoe04 replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Don't give in Josh. It's your number now. Why should he give up his number to Pods of all people? Josh is our starter and deserves whatever number he wants. A washed up bum like podsednik has no right to take it from Josh. -

I am so pumped for the playoffs. The blackhawks being in the playoffs are nice, but the Bulls have me way more excited.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 06:34 PM) you'll miss hawk when you move away and have nothing familiar to hear in baseball. He's like my desmond, keeps me grounded in any age. If anything goes wrong, Hawk Harrelson will be my constant.

I wish they would just have DJ up in the booth to crack jokes. While Stoney is great and very intelligent, I rarely get any laughs out of him the way I did DJ. The man knew funny.
