  1. On Espnnews just now one of the guys talking about the hall of fame voting said in a couple years that Frank Thomas could be an interesting debate. What a joke.
  2. 22, Illinois, not chicagoland.
  3. ISU is number one in the mid major top 25 this week. http://www.collegeinsider.com/mmpoll/
  4. ISU got 50 votes in the coaches poll today, come in at #27.
  5. That is what I was telling IAMPABLOOZUNA last night. We have beat our two common opponents with UNC by more than they did.
  6. QUOTE (IamPabloOzuna @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 08:01 PM) "Brandon Sampay would be popping baseline jumpers in Psycho T's face." This is a fact.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) Are you telling me Illinois State would beat North Carolina? Everyone knows that only I think that.
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 01:01 AM) Wait, this is the ISU kid? Sweet. yeah the gf lives in champaign so i have to venture out there from time to time.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) Was it at Creighton? If so, that's huge. It was at home, still a big win. Dominated them in every aspect.
  10. ISU wins by 22 over a very solid creighton team. Huge Win. Should gain a lot of respect.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 01:23 PM) Is there some possibility that there is ALOT of homerism going on here? nope, this is all true
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 09:35 AM) Illinois backcourt is probaly just as court when McCamey wants to play, not to mention the Illini's far, far superior front court. You can't honestly say that Ill's back court would be even close to ill st. The frontcourt is better, but I think ISU's big men are very underrated although no depth there at all. Plus Ill St. plays a 4 guard set, so that creates matchup problems that downplays the advantage. I think it would be a close game but ISU would win at least half the time. Probably more. I am a homer but I'm just saying what I see.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) Now you are bordering on idiotic. Dana Altman is maybe the best coach in the MVC and has been for a long time. Don't think your 2nd year coach is better than him for one second. It's amazing how one good year can go to someone's heads. I meant better than Weber. You will never hear me say a bad thing about Altman. Yes, we could beat Purdue. It's not like they are that much more talented.

    Mystery

This is weird. I have no idea. The last part is kind of funny.
  15. I'm in a library in Champaign. Illinois still sucks.
  16. I have been gone a couple days, so I haven't been able to get in here, but I still say ISU would beat Illinois. I don't care that Illinois beat Purdue. I think ISU would be able to beat Purdue as well. Not every time but they would beat them at least 30% of the time. Which is what I feel like Illinois is capable of as well. Every thing I said holds true. They play Creighton tomorrow. That should be a good indicator. ISU is still the more athletic and more experienced/smarter team. Probably better coached as well.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 04:33 PM) Their leader is a 23 year US citizen. I take it the band name is still a reference to us? That's my guess, If he's a US citizen he's probably heard of the team and likes the name or something.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 03:53 PM) I think some of the people who are very against pot would be surprised when they find out how many of their friends, co-workers, and whatnot use pot to relax instead of drinking a 6 pack. Agreed completely, there are so many people that don't look they would, but do. I on the other hand, like using both to relax.
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 03:57 PM) You really think ISU is better than UofI this year? I really do. ISU has two players better than any player on Illinois. Osiris would be hands down the best player on that court. I also think ISU is more athletic than Illinois. The difference in my eyes would be the size. If ISU could get decent rebounding, I think they would win in a close one between the two teams. The difference would be Osiris and Oguchi's rebounding.

    The Dark Knight

Am I the only one that doesn't like the "dark" batman. I like my comic book movies lighthearted. I've really disliked almost every recent comic book movie with the exception of the Spiderman movies.
  21. I'm a hater. I'll admit it. I take pleasure in watching them lose. Probably because they get all the publicity when ISU has had the better team two straight years now.
