  1. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:53 PM) Remember that wolf in a 7-11 or something like that downtown? Someone remember so that I don't feel like I'm imagining things... I remember it. I can't remember if it was a wolf or not. Some kind of large animal though.
  2. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 07:35 AM) I have to do that twice a year, as my inlaws live about 10 minutes from there. Unless you want to ride a gocart, it is not much fun. Although they do occasionally have a good show there. I saw Wayne Newton a few years back, it was an excellent show. I did see some nice go kart tracks. Was only there for about an hour, had to pick up a car that was being repaired with a friend for his sister. She gave us each a hundred bucks and bought us the food we ate on the way. So that was kinda sweet.
  3. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 11:27 AM) Right now, the NBA product is atrocious. Zero fundamentals. Huge verticals are nice but nobody being able to hit a jump shot or play D is annoying to watch. I'd completely disagree with this. The NBA product IMO is outstanding. I can not stand watching college basketball after watching the NBA. The college game is so bad. No One in college can shoot. NBA players will make any jumpshot with any space at all. Plus, I think the defense in the NBA is far better than any college game. You have to learn to play D in the NBA or you are going to get lit up every night. Even with good defense, guys are still going to make a fair amount of shots with someone in their face. That's just my little rant about the NBA. I really do love that game.
  4. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 11:15 PM) You probably should of went to Bronson, Missouri instead. Hey Ma, How 'Bout a cookie?
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 09:29 PM) I was just going to say, the "pose" on the statue should be him with a huge lead off of 1st base, ready to somehow score on a 1 out gapper by Herbert Perry. Don't forget how he was the best at reading a ball in the dirt and taking the base. I said that the Frank Thomas poll was the best ever. I stand corrected.
  6. They should really get rid of this rule. If someone doesn't want to go to college to play professional basketball, who should stop them. It's not really a profession where college is a must.
  7. QUOTE (TheOcho @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 08:37 PM) I'm pretty sure he just tells them he plays for a Major League Baseball team... Works for me.
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) I just don't really like the idea of Linebrink's arm falling off though. He can't be covering for MacDougal all year at this rate. Exactly, we can't run him out there every day in april. Maybe in October though.
  9. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 08:21 PM) I absolutely LOVE how everyone responds to things on this site. It's been a couple of weeks into the season, that's it. I guess we should have dumped Paulie the first time he went into a slump. Hilarious... It's different with an aging player who gets hurt his fair share of times.
  10. That was one of the worst major league at bats I've seen in a while. Uribe usually doesn't even look that bad.
  11. I drove to Branson and back yesterday, it sucked.
