Go Tigers! Oh, and I'd have to guess that the janitor was wearing a sox t-shirt.

What's in a number? No uniform answer
I think that this is so true to when it comes to picking number. I personally, always like to be #2 or #7. My freshman year of high school, I got stuck with #82 b/c I was rehabbing an injury the I had the day that my team picked jersey numbers. I'm definitely not wearing that number again; it blew. Last year, I got #2, though, and that's what I'll be wearing next year and the year after too.

After all the hype....
I think that they have to replace him w/ another outfielder.

After all the hype....
Imo, Finley should be the replacement.

That's awesome. I can't wait for you to put up all these interviews; they're gonna be great! I'm really glad you're gonna get an interview with Haigwood. I really like him a lot, and think he'd be right there in Winston-Salem w/ BMac if he hadn't suffered a setback when torn his ACL last year.

7/10 Games
Anyone notice that one Brian Simmons is playing for Rochester? I didn't know this guy was still playing. For the some who don't remember this guy, he is the same Brian Simmons that was our 2nd round draft pick in '95, in '98 hit a HR from both sides of the plate in the same game against K.C., and was involved in the David Wells ("shouldergate", as some called it) trade in 2001. Just a little tidbit of info that I thought I'd share.

btw, the Kanny game was officially canceled in the 11th due to rain.

He's probably right behind Bryant Nelson as the best position player.

Any sox prospect on Futures Game?
I feel the same way, especially b/c our one player representing us has been terrible lately, and will probably get roughed up in the Futures game, which will not be of any help to his confidence.

Any sox prospect on Futures Game?
Each team only gets 2 players, so our guys that were selected were Munoz and Reed. And, even though Reed was traded, we don't get another player in, and Seattle gets 3. Also, Munoz was selected before he started really sucking in AAA. Otherwise, it probably would have been Anderson or B-mac representing us.

Westbrook
nope. Harvey pretty much took his spot since every team needs 1 player, which basically led to neither Frank nor Paulie making the team.

Hey GOLD!

Shaq approves trade to Heat
This is a very good deal for both the Pacers and the Hawks... Now, I wonder who my Bulls are gonna be getting in free agency? I was kinda hoping Brian Cardinal, but he's gonna sign in Memphis for I think the whole MLE, which Pax wants to spend on two players.

Schilling won't play in AS Game
Santana from Minny should have been the replacement. This guy been flat out awesome since his rough start to the year.

Welcome back Ugly. I saw that this post was started by you before I clicked on it, and thought, "well there's a name I haven't seen in a while."

It appears to be getting hot in the kitchen...
thanks, i guess you really miss out on a lot of stuff when you stop coming here sometime around september and come back right before the season starts like I did. I'm definitely gonna be checking in during the offseason this year, so I won't be so clueless if something like this happens again.

7/10 Games
Great Falls lost 8-1. Lucy was 1-3 w/ a rbi. Ricks was also 1-3 w/ a double. Great Falls had a grand total of 3 hits on the night (McCarthy had the 3rd one). Boone Logan took the loss, giving up 3 ER in 4.2 IP. Eric Everly gave up 4 runs in 2 IP. Great Falls Box Other notes from the night: Hankins has been pretty hot lately (2-3 w/ a HR today); it's good to see him doing well after a slow start to the season. Josh Fields had 2 nice innings of relief, and Yan hit his 9th triple of the year. And, like ChiSox_Sonix has been saying, it'd be good to see Yan called up solely for pinch running in september. Andy Gonzalez had been doing well lately, too, which is good to see since he's got a lot of talent, but just has to put it all together. B-Mac had a pretty good start; it's good to see him doing well in Winston-Salem. Pollok got another save w/ another nice inning of relief. I really like this guy. I don't know much about him, except that we drafted him last year out of Texas A&M, but for some reason I really like him.
