  1. Tony already giving Cease too much of a leash. Kopech should've been warming after the 2md walk, dumb
  2. cease has located like 2 pitches this whole inning, one of them was a missed call
  3. idk how this is legal but this app lets you stream the Sox radio broadcast for free, select the Indiana station https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.toddbrady.proBaseballRadio
  4. I can't imagine TLR allowing Cease to just get his head smashed in, in an elimination game if he starts getting in obvious trouble, the pen should already be warming. if Tony doesn't have anyone warming preemptively in the 2nd and 3rd, well lol you can't manage this game like a regular season game (OBVIOUSLY)
  5. if the goal was to fix all the issues we can see with our own two eyes in the offseason, what gets you closer to that goal: an embarrassing 1-sided sweep to the most hated team in baseball, or losing 3-1 on your home field? if it goes 5 and they lose in Houston, that would really fuck up the chances of fixing our issues, the mouth pieces in the media and the front office guys will use that as an excuse to say "hey, look, we battled back, this lineup is fine, the pitching was tired, we don't need to change much "
  6. if the Sox win tomorrow and Cease goes 6 and gives up 3 or less, I won't post again until after the WS,mods can ban me til then @southsider2k5 @Chisoxfn ?
  7. great article https://soxmachine.com/2021/10/09/tony-la-russa-isnt-helping-white-sox-who-may-be-beyond-it/
  8. Dylan Cease career against winning teams: 3-12, 6.35 Dylan Cease 2021 against winning teams: 2-3, 6.04 Dylan Cease career against HOU: 0-3, 6.60
  9. Cease vs HOU 1st Start: 3.1IP, 4H, 7R (6 Earned), 1HR, 1HBP, 2BB, 4K 2nd Start: 5.2IP, 6H, 3R (3 Earned), 1HR, 1HBP, 2BB, 10K
  10. Houston wins Sunday if Cease starts He will implode during the first 3 innings like always and they don't recover, 8-4 HOU If it's Ropech, Sox have a chance if the defense plays out of their minds and the pen is properly used (unlikely)
  11. defense also fucked them over, positioning and just lack of talent and cohesiveness
  12. 2008 team had a better shot than this team does, Houston was by far the worst matchup they could've gotten if they don't make some drastic changes (primarily coaching/training staff, followed by massive upgrades defensively, and then the glaring holes in RF and 2B and MGR), they might not even win the division next year I think they are the favorites obviously but this organization is always a colossal fuckup when it comes to building sustained success, like they do not have a fucking CLUE what they are doing, but the nepotism isn't going to go away until Reinsdorf croaks or sells so the future is not bright imo. the people running this team aren't as smart as they think they are. they should've traded Vaughn last year with some other pieces for a haul imo, that kid is doomed with this franchise, they don't have what it takes to groom him into what he's capable of
  13. if Lynn is starting vs McCullers again, I'll burn all my Sox gear lol, what's funny is I could see TLR writing that matchup down in ink.
  14. it's the bargain bin coaching staff, not up to snuff. they don't get these guys ready to play, it's pretty obvious also, really bad defensive team, like bottom of the league (also a coaching issue)
  15. Abreu is fine at 1B, Eloy is a full-time DH on any properly run team, TA is serviceable at SS, Moncada above average with a questionable arm, CF is locked down, RF = hole, C = DH playing out of position but like everyone else said, too many DHs on this team gets you 25th ranked defense
