  1. I'm trying to recall his last HR hit to right/right center
  2. that's crazy if true, I don't remember any of those games
  3. TA doesn't have the OBP for me to be a leadoff guy, he also doesn't work counts or take walks. He is the prototypical #2 hitter. He can hit the ball anywhere on the field, which is ideal in the 2 spot. Luis right now for me would be a better leadoff guy as he's probably the 2nd fastest guy on the team who has the OBP to be a successful leadoff guy. He also can hit leadoff HRs like TA if he feels like it. Ideally I would put Luis in the 3 spot but seniority dictates lineup construction or something. Abreu would be driving in more runs hitting 4th with TA > Moncada > Robert than he does currently, by hitting 3rd
  4. he's not good at SS, this board used to roast Jeter over the years for being over hyped, TA isn't even on that level
  5. this is the defense we get to enjoy at SS in the playoffs, get ready boys
  6. They aren't going to be forced to change their name. The logo tho? yeah I can see that
  7. as awful as their approach was that inning, I can tell you right now they're gonna fuck this kid up badly tonight based on his stuff
  8. you guys explanation makes sense. for some reason, I read "elimination" as being eliminated from the playoffs
  9. nah it's gotta be an error, they don't show an E for Oakland or Seattle. sorry for posting this in two threads haha
  10. yeah that's what I thought, but on the division standings page it shows an E next to Toronto
  11. MLB.com says Toronto is eliminated, yet theyre only 2GB on the wildcard. How can they already be eliminated?
  12. How is Toronto eliminated with 8 games left and they're only 2 games out of the wildcard?
  13. How many IP does Kopech get next year? Will they roll a hybrid 5+ man rotation? Giving Kopech alternating starts to increase his workload?
  14. really? is there a video of this? I don't have access to NBC Sports Chi
  15. imo you can't ignore how the majority of players the Sox acquire at deadlines and during the offseason end up coming here and performing well below their career numbers, it's been an issue for years and I'd chalk it up to the atmosphere and environment that is fostered, they aren't nearly as effective at creating a winning atmosphere like more professional clubs do (like STL, TB, BOS, even post scandal HOU). I would love to talk to guys like Melky Cabrera and ask him what was different about the Sox (training staff, coaching, preparation techniques, etc) compared to NYY Maybe I'm way overthinking this but it just seems that way, guys come here and more often than not we are left scratching our heads about why they suck once the uniform changes
  16. "NOTHING TO SEE HERE GUYS, EVERYTHING IS FINE, LALALALALA SHUT UP"
