an entire staff all losing their ability to pitch screams coaching philosophy and possibly clubhouse issues (to me), instead of bad talent eval. could be just having bad pitchers but Clevingers still got a good arsenal and good velo, same with Cease and Kopech. they just aren't getting it done. I don't think they listen to Katz at all or he's giving them horrendous advice. he always sounded like a guy who would be great for young pitchers who can absorb this data driven/spin/tilt stuff, but older veteran guys who weren't groomed on that s%*# would have issues with a guy like Katz edit: yes I know Cease and Kopech are younger guys, I think they're just too emotional and lose focus very quickly

They look like they're already looking to the off-season. Those at bats yesterday were unbelievable. They looked, 1 through 9, like they did not wanna play baseball. The Royals and A's are losing games because they lack talent, the Sox are losing games because they do not give a s%*# about winning everyday

Sox have to make some serious changes. They gotta DFA or move Andrus to bench duties. Moncada has gotta be moved to 2B to fit Burger in at 3B when he's back. Cease and Lynn's rotation spots need to be moved to 3 and 5 (Gio, Clevinger, Cease, Kopech and Lynn) Also consider moving Kopech to the pen and ReyLo back to the rotation if at all possible. I'm sure there are many other changes that you guys could think of that need to happen within this current roster, but we are at the point where you gotta make changes for the sake of shaking s%*# up

yeah I picked 2000 arbitrarily, wasn't meant to be an analysis of that particular team. 2000 was a nice round number. plus it's when I first started seriously watching the team.

Dunno about you guys but I can wager to guess that most of you don't even like this particular Sox team. I'm at the point where I couldn't give a s%*# if most of these guys weren't around next year Guys like Robert, Moncada, Kopech, TA, Andrus, Clevinger and others just give off this vibe of overconfidence that they garnered either because they had past success or because they were extremely hyped prospects, like it's not their fault the team is bad, because they're good, "look how much money I was paid, so obviously you can't criticize me" sorta s%*# I feel like these guys are playing with a chip on their shoulder that isn't deserved yeah I don't like these pricks at all

I personally think carrying 3 catchers wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea with how often these guys are hurt. plus McGuire is a good all around catcher anyway

Royals broadcast showed that guys are hitting Cease to a .321 clip 3rd time through the order I'm starting to wonder if this is because he's calling his own pitches and hes falling into patterns that hitters are picking up Would be interesting to see what pitches he's calling to each guy, each AB, to see if he's just going to the same sequence everytime or if he's changing pitch sequences and he's just missing his spots badly

embrace the suck guys, rooting for this dumpster fire before big changes are made is a fools errand, they might play .450 ball the rest of the year, they might even have the offense to get above that, but my god this pitching staff, just up and down the roster. Katz has gotta go lol, like he NEEDS to be fired ASAP.
