  1. Sox best offer could be beaten by numerous other teams, that would still have a deeper roster post trade than the Sox would just saw a top 100 prospect list a few days ago and it had the Sox with 1 guy (C.M.) and he was in the mid 90s
  2. edit: delete
  3. damn, have you always been this nihilistic about this Sox FO? or is this something you recently came to a conclusion about
  4. doesn't matter if the same corporate rejects are running the show next year, they'll fuck it up regardless yes i'm that cynical when it comes to the sox, i have zero faith in this team for the foreseeable future
  5. JR

lmao are you serious, JR is happy because he's making money
  6. trades.wont.fix.this.team
  7. nail in the coffin? this team has been playing 6ft under for the last 3 months
  8. ya'll know nothing is gonna change until a new owner comes in, so why keep posting these weird threads
  9. idk how you guys watch this team lol, they are bad
  10. too soon to write off Robert as just a slightly above average player, I think he will become a beast
  11. stone saying we need a big bat, just shows how disconnected/oblivious he is from the real issues this organization has there's a deeper issue with the sox that goes much further than "need a RF/C/3B", good players come here to die from malaise
  12. Robert's natural talent is the only reason he's in the big leagues right now. With that said, he isn't close to hitting his prime, way too many flaws in his game (on offense and defense). He's still a better player than probably 95% of the guys who come up with his level of minor league seasoning. Sox probably brought him up when they did because his flaws weren't going to be remedied in AAA (tightening up his O-Swing% isnt' going to happen facing AAA pitching and that's a fact) and it was a budgetary move also
  13. not to mention, trading giolito now doesn't come close to being a rebuild, he could help restock the farm nicely, add in another couple guys and you're making it a lot easier on yourself to retool in the next few years (which, lets be honest, they were gonna need to do anyways)
  14. they shoulda tried dumping Moncada in the offseason, i'm sure they knew all there was to know about him and his work ethic in the offseason to know whether or not he was willing to keep around. maybe nobody was interested, but this past offseason was the time to move him (well, technically it was before they threw money at him. lol idiots)
  15. Cease and Kopech are locked up for way too long to trade them right now. You'll get the same return this year as you would next year and the year after imo
  16. Giolito has been good for so long, this year is clearly an outlier. I think he'll definitely bring back a decent haul.
  17. lol, shocker a billionaire sociopath doesn't understand working class people
  18. anybody who would replenish the farm system with the most amount of talent Giolito, and Lynn should be on the block for sure, I would say TA7 also but I feel like they're gonna lock him up just so they can say "See? We spent the money"
  19. the haul they could get for Lynn and giolito would be amazing
  20. Giolito will be traded next year imo
  21. two completely different types of organizations, sox can trade/sign whatever players they want, the fish rots from the head down
  22. you people are still holding out hope for this dogshit team? time to read the tea leaves
