  1. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 06:09 PM) You gotta be freaking kidding me... What team have you been watching this year?
  2. AJ batting 5th in this lineup has done wonderful things for us.
  3. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 04:41 PM) You call yourself a White Sox, fan? Of course he, does! Beckham trying to hit the curveball, though it was a roller, what kind of pitch did he hit deep in the 2nd inning? FB or curve/slider?
  4. danks2's k rate.... due to poor pitch recognition/selection, or is it another josh fields-esque "cant catch up to the fastball"?
  5. Beckham has played solid baseball ever since he came up to the big squad, and when he wasn't hitting the ball he was playing defense that Fields could only dream about, and now that he's hitting and taking walks, and the defense is still there, is there any reason at all to remove him from the lineup now? I sincerely hope not
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) Well the ray of sunshine, Beckham looked good up at the plate tonight against a pretty tough pitcher. 1 for 3. Keep hitting, and it will come. opposite field base hit, linedrive to left center and... can't remember his other at-bat, but i know he got good wood on it he's looked awesome in the box, I know that much
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) You know? That HBP call really cost us the game didn't it? We're 1-3 against the tigers on this homestand The only definitive win, where one team dominated the other was our 1 win The 3 tigers wins are all 1-run wins, two of them were late-game tie breakers, and the other is where they scored their run on a bases loaded walk We've had so many chances to win at least two of those games (The Fields error game we probably would've lost but tonight and last night were so winnable it's sickening, almost maddening) Oh well, I want this blown up pronto
  8. Now we know what teams have felt like lately that had to face Gavin It's nice to see Danks go deep into a game with a decent pitch count though, I hope he's turned the corner on those bad starts
  9. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) we lost the series. Konerko is hurt. Quentin is hurt. Pull the plug. edited a bit
  10. I hope we lose the next 10 games so this s*** gets blown up
  11. Pitches it takes to get Fields out this at-bat? I'll say 3 Edit: Well, fields manages to see at least a 4th pitch
  12. Jermaine has no clue at the plate tonight
  13. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:11 PM) You don't think Jim Thome has a moderate baseball IQ when swinging the bat? Well his batting average is .250, but of course when he leans into one it'll leave the premises, but I think Konerko is a much smarter hitter than Thome is, more selective that's for sure Thome has been better as of late though, I think his last week or so he's hitting over .300
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:09 PM) Excellent managing yet again. I can't believe we bunted to get to two guys who look overmatched tonight. I can name on one hand the number of players on this team who i consider to have a moderate level of baseball IQ when it comes to swinging a bat Quentin, Beckham, Konerko Well that about covers it
  15. QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:07 PM) Sorry, I'm late to the party. What happened to PK? Bone Bruise, the sequel, it looks like, which is unfortunate
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:03 PM) Yay, a bunt. Still need a hit to score him. Not sure why we didn't try to steal 2nd then bunt to 3rd, actually
  17. wow Verlander is almost at a 3:1 strike to ball ratio, incredible
  18. we're on the brink of losing 3 games to the tigers at home, and all 3 games were lost by 1 run that's vomit worthy right there
  19. we're on the brink of losing 3 games to the tigers at home, and all 3 games were lost by 1 run that's vomit worthy right there
  20. Yeah Beckham was safe f*** these umpires, I'm sorry but they're tools and terrible at their jobs.
  21. Yeah Beckham was safe f*** these umpires, I'm sorry but they're tools and terrible at their jobs.
  22. I thought last year was the worst year I've seen by umpires calling Sox games until this year, this is by far the worst, and that first pitch to Beckham was just awful, my god. That's something that has to get cleaned up as the year goes on, even yesterday there was a check-swing strikeout against Konerko that wasn't even f***ing CLOSE to being a swing Oh, and I think the 1B umpire yesterday that called Konerko out on that check swing is the guy behind the plate tonight Yeah, he needs to be talked to from his higher-ups, this is uncalled for
  23. At least shutout #10 can wait 2-1! That bases loaded walk bites us in the ass big right now
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 08:42 PM) Hawk and Stone are begging for someone in the dugout or on the field to get ejected. can they eject our whole dugout?
