  1. I mean in general, can being the worst team in baseball give you an advantage on the waiver wire
  2. Could the Sox actually win with a waiver claim this year? Nobody in the AL can block the claim except for the team the guy plays for right, just wondering if the waiver wire could actually benefit the Sox this year
  3. The bullpen has been the real confidence destroyer this year. Theyve just beat their teammates down over and over again all season. The amount of games where they had a late lead past the 6th inning that the bullpen came in and pissed away is insane. You can't bring Katz back after this year, we have enough of a sample size to know he isn't the answer. He absolutely benefitted from guys using spider tack Leasure WHIP in April: 1.36, May: 1.11, June: 2.00, July: 3.00) Kopech WHIP in April: 1.39, May: 1.32, June: 1.59, July: 1.72 Brebbia WHIP in April: 1.2, May: 1.58, June: 0.80, July: 1.29 Anderson WHIP in April: 2.14, May: 1.25, June: 1.34, July: 1.50 Banks WHIP in April: 1.97, May: 0.89, June: 1.13, July: 0.50 Shuster WHIP in April: 1.10, May: 1.30, June: 1.55, July: 2.00 Kuhl WHIP in June: 1.45, July: 1.58 All of these guys are straight garbage this year, outside of Banks & Brebbia (who's amazing May numbers bring down the rest of his average to awful stats)
  4. I feel like they would absolutely try him out in RF, probably as a primary position. If he can play 1B (supposedly an elite defensive 1B) and RF, you're looking at someone who isn't gonna have a negative WAR defensively which would be nice
  5. I only posted that video because they break down his stuff and it's awesome
  6. Was checking out the Mets, their fans want Crochet for some reason I just don't see the fit, someone explain to me why all their top prospects are 5'7 to 5'9 guys, lol
  7. Watching these pitching break down videos of Crochet, man I hate this team.
  8. I'd pump the brakes on Wolkow, lol. is he a top 10 Sox prospect? I think so, but I've seen people saying he will be a top 100 next year, like come on. his current tear is making everyone go nuts
  9. my current priority list Griffin Wetherholt Burns Smith Caglianone Ozzie jr convinced me that Condon is not worth picking in the top 5 lol
  10. was looking at his hitting stats, he was unbelievably lucky for 2 of the 3 years, there's a great video that breaks it down
  11. Because they haven't developed a premium star hitter in a very long time
  12. We need a 2024 Misc. Sox Thread for random stuff, like this amazing video
  13. if they do trade Vaughn, you think that would impact the draft at all? I hope it wouldnt, but this is the white Sox.
  14. you have to admit, when we are all universally cynical about the future of this team, there's a bit of catharsis in that
  15. his O-swing% is insane so unlikely he won't struggle lol edited phrasing
  16. the fact that Cleveland gets over 18 million to spend on this draft is 100% straight up bullshit
  17. Is the cost a big deal due to the penalties associated with going over your allotment?
  18. I think I would probably just go Griffin over those 2 guys. If someone falls asleep and Condon falls to 5, you would obviously grab him over anyone else right ?
  19. if Moncada comes back before July 30th, I could easily see him moved
  20. So who would you pick out of these 3, for the 5th pick Caglianone Wetherholt Griffin and who do you think the Sox are gonna pick? All 3 have asterisks Caglianone: 1B only player, but said he wants to continue being 2way Griffin: High Schooler with a questionable swing tool (Do you think the Sox can fix someone's swing?) Wetherholt: Blown hammy twice in the last 11 months. I really don't know who I would pick tbh, Wetherholt is the closest to the majors assuming healthy
  21. Boras probably wants to know who gave Kopech his number
