6/7/2026 - Sox @ Phils, rubber match, 12:35 pm CDT - Gilbert/Sandlin v. Nola
so tired of our C tier hitters blowing all the ABs challenges on obvious strikes, and guys like Vargas who probably has the best eye on the team never challenging anything

why is Nishida struggling to catch up to 92 when he has the matchup advantage, he looks late on everything

I find it interesting that the Sox had Gonzalez playing more 2B last year than SS, I understand why of course, but that's good to know that they can move him probably across the whole IF I really wish they would be testing guys out in the OF in the minors, positions where they are comfortable with depth

White Sox - Injury Tracker
let's give Nishida the same kind of rope that Acuña has been given and we can see which guy ends up being more valuable not saying Acuña doesn't have a higher ceiling but I don't think we can assume we have seen the final product of Nishida after only 10 games

another reason why I think drafting Vahn Lackey would be perfectly fine, it's not like Kyle Teel is a guarantee at this point, if they think Lackey is the BPA, take him no matter what

Breaking News: ron883 totally vindicated - Braden Montgomery gets called up
Braden had a BB, 3 run shot, and 2 Ks tonight also

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
I agree with this, but if you look on twitter, if getz picks anyone but Roch the pitch forks will be out, which is ridiculous given the type of talent you can get if you go with Lackey or Emerson

Breaking News: ron883 totally vindicated - Braden Montgomery gets called up
looking at his stats in Charlotte, if I had to guess on why he hasn't been called up yet, keep in mind this is a 27 game sample: 32 Ks in 27 games 2.4 GO/AO ratio, unusually high for him but he has statistically hit more ground ball outs than fly ball outs in the minors. his milb career he's grounding out vs flying out at a 3:2 clip, almost 5:2 in AAA dudes striking out a lot, and pounding the ball into the ground a lot his Charlotte numbers outside of that are pretty good: .299/.377/.486 (.863), 4 HR, 18 RBI
