Thanks for the poll. Are you able to add an option to vote for a retractable roof as opposed to a dome?

I think it fundamentally changes the identity of the fanbase which I don't like. It also prices out many of those working class folks. So much of the cubs Sox rivalry is based class warfare/class rage. I don't just want to become the cubs.

Yeah I'm for a dome only if it's a retractable roof..

If anything the rendering looked like you could watch for free from the promenade if you wanted. I just don't want a stadium surrounded by parking lots, not in Chicago.

I would have voted Hell Yes, but it wasn't an option.

If they do it like Seattle to where it slides and you still have a little opening maybe, but I'd still prefer just open air, if it rains it rains.

The "Railyards" stadium as depicted is substandard, even in terms of an open-air stadium. The RF dimension is substantially limited by the distance between BNSF railroad tracks and the canal. The CF scoreboard is minimized to a great degree, apparently in order to preserve a view of the high rise buildings in the loop. What a joke. In short, the rail yards concept was limited to fit on land that Ishbia has an option to purchase... and that just isn't right. Why limit a stadium to fit on land he can acquire? Further, that option is contingent on approval by the City of moving a 60 acre railroad yard (in size, think about 60 football fields) to the parking lots of Rate field. That is insanity.

The Reinsdorfs should have made (and if possible. still should make) the prospective purchase of the White Sox franchise contingent on purchasing Rate Field and the surrounding land from the ISFA (IL tax payers). That would benefit the public (taxpayers) and changed the dynamic from what is happening now - a billionaire not caring one iota about the South side home of the White Sox, and, to add an insulting blow, desecrating the area forever with a massive rail road yard. And all for what? A billionaire to build a substandard stadium on a tract he has an option to purchase? The Amtrak and BNSF rail yards were placed where they are for good reasons, and they should remain there, not be relocated to the neighborhoods of Chicago. This guy has gone too far with this. Hopefully Sox ownership, the City of Chicago, the ISFA ..should stop him in his tracks.

I don’t know - hard to tell from just two limited renderings but it seems like it’s relying on really steep slopped seating… which I would imagine wouldn’t be very appealing as a fan.

Again, it’s hard to tell with just the two limited angles shown.
