I really couldn't see payroll not increasing and I'd like to see what he could do to make us #1 in Chicago. Think of what we could have done this offseason if we could have maybe an extra 30-40 mil. We Could have got Colon, Ponson, and Vlad. We might have had to overpay, but that is just spare change to trump.

Why is it not? are you happy with the teams payroll, and underachievement business wise in the 3rd biggest market in the country?

Well, at least in baseball it is very hard to repeat anything from year to year, and best teams do not always win divisions/championships. The cubs COULD be good this year, but I think it depends on more than talent. The fans have already set some lofty expectations. Astros should be tough to beat, and I think the cards could surprise people this year.
