  1. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 05:22 PM) I'm not positive, but I'm almost positive that his throws over 40 yards were completed only 40% of the time. So maybe I should re-phrase my original statement to "His accuracy on deep balls sucks." His accuracy is bad period
  2. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) Wasn't comparing them at all, other than their age and what level they were at when they were called up, which I thought was your biggest problem with Egbert (since you've yet to mention a single other thing about him, other than the fact that you don't like him) from reading these posts. I have zero faith in any pitcher from this organization coming up and producing at the MLB level, especially thinking a 24 year old from AA is going to be a 3-4 starter.. give me a break
  3. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 04:04 PM) Yea, calling up 24 year old pitchers from AA never works Hey EXCELLENT example.. a closer who throws 100 mph and had amazing stuff, this really compares well to Egbert and every pitcher that Cheat named..
  4. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:50 PM) Aaron Cook, Clay Hensley, Shawn Hill All three are sinkerballers who were old for their league. All three posted worse numbers than Eggy. He's a legit prospect. He's not going to be a 1 or 2, but a solid 3-4 for cheap is very likely. a solid 3-4? Ill believe it when I see it
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:29 PM) Can you give me an actual reason as to why it's so ridiculous his name is mentioned? The numbers don't lie, I mean it's ok if you don't like him but to find it ridiculous he's mentioned is a bit extreme. Because hes 24 years old and in AA and hes all the sudden going to come in and be in our rotation? I personally don't think hes ever going to pitch in the MLB, and the love fest with him is just mind boggling to me.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:23 PM) He's given up 3 home runs the last 2 years (254 innings) with a 2 to 1 ground ball to fly ball ratio and a about 4/5 of a strikeout per inning, low walk totals, only about 4/5 of a hit per inning allowed, and a .230 average against with an ERA under 3. Not sure what is not to love other than he's a bit older at 24. Im not a fan, and find it ridiculous his name is mentioned as a possible rotation spot for when Buehrle is traded..
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 12:37 AM) I've gotta agree with you on this one, no one could touch the Red Ranger. Things just got weird with Tommy when they made him the leader of the group and changed his color to white. The long feminine hair was always a big turnoff as well. You would like Tommy. You're all delusional, Tommy is the best hands down
  8. uh, Egbert This board is killing me with all the Egbert love..
  9. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 04:15 PM) Jason>Tommy Man get out of here, no one could hang with Tommy
  10. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 10:28 PM) I don't really see anything on the Vengeance card that says "Match of the Night" Well anymatch Orton is in is automatically match of the night.. that one will prolly be second
  11. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:29 PM) Careful, Shadows. The haters will come out and knock Orton because he uses a headlock in his matches. And nobody in the history of wrestling has ever done that. As long as we got his back, its all good
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:22 PM) Your presence made me bring it back! Its a must
  13. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:12 PM) Burke sold those Benoit germans nicely. Nice counter to the flying headbutt as well. Im loving the avatar friend
  14. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) I really like Benoit on ECW for some reason. Awesome wrestler who could hold the title for a long time if they put it on him. Man this is only an hour long show.. geez
  15. Im watchin ECW for the first time ever tonight, time to see what its all about

QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) anybody else disappointed at the new PG-13 Die Hard? uh no, Die Hard could be rated G and it would still be badass
  17. If that guy let a girl not only grab his sack but rip off one of his balls than he doesn't deserve to have them anyways.. How could you even let this happen
  18. I saw this quote on CBSsportsline and thought it was pretty damn funny..

I guess im the only one who thought Oceans 13 sucked It needed more night fox for sure
  20. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 05:21 PM) To me, thats worst case scenario. Winning 85-90 and not making the playoffs would probably crush the franchise. If that were to happen, Dye-Buehrle would be obviously still be here, and to be honest, to win 85-90 games, talent from outside the organization would have to be brought in, which means prospects being shipped off. So now you go into 2008 with nothing to show for 2007, Dye and Buehrle did nothing to help you win anything, you have nothing to show for them except draft picks, and your down a few prospects... At this point in time, REALISTIC best case scenerio is the Sox really tank but Dye and Mark get hot/stay hot, Kenny gets great packages for both of them, system gets some credibility, and then you deal off some more dead weight in the off-season. Well I just meant that its better than being a losing team all season.. I agree with your opinion on it though
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 04:19 PM) Ok. Thanks. I'll just stop watching now. If someone could look into the future and guarantee me the Sox would lose 100 games and this season was lost I would still watch all the games I could.. I don't live in Chicago, so I rarely get to watch them.. so I take every chance I can get to see my team play whether they suck or not.. Anyways, I think the worst case scenario is that the offense never really puts it together and KW deals off Buehrle and Dye for some good prospects that should be able to help us soon.. I dont see 100 losses from this team there is too much talent for that.. The best case scenario is that the bats heat up and we add a bullpen arm or two and win around 85-90 games, but still no playoffs..
  22. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 12:36 PM) This new one is fantastic, but it's just hard as hell, which I guess is a good thing. for computer? or did it come out on a system that I am unaware of.. I just have all computer ones
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 09:50 PM) I lost my beloved appendix on July 1st of last year. That was the day of the AJ walkoff homer....it was basically the day after that when our struggles started, especially on the mound. So....unless someone can find a way to get my appendix back, I'm out of answers. You can have mine, if its possible to do a appendix donation
