  1. One bad contract for another. Koch for Contreras. It makes sense.
  2. Talk to you later Josh. Shuf you're a crazy drunkard!
  3. There's a point I missed! No way I'm ever purchasing even the tiniest of Cubs merchandise. At a bowling tournament during it me and my mom won this POS Sammy Sosa card that was framed. Needless to say I took the card out, stuck in my favorite Big hurt card, and covered the plate that says Sammy Sosa with a piece of paper with "Frank Thomas" on it. Now that's a prize.
  4. I can see it now. A Sox fan and a Twins fan are sleeping in the same bed... Sox fan: I think it's time to start looking towards our future, I want to have a kid. Let's go! Twins fan: Hahahahahahaha the white sucks got swept hahahaha enjoy second place, the big skirt is an overrated crybaby hahahahahaha! Sox fan: :fyou
  5. Anderson would be a solid pickup if we were aiming for a #5 starter ONLY. We have bigger fish to fry. Namely, a one, Mister Freddy Garcia.
  6. Nah I think he was talking about the man who wrote that article.
  7. Now I think that is stretching it a bit far. They weren't a bunch of crybabies last year, now were they? They took their third place finish like real men. Any team that is struggling as much as theirs would have the presence of being completely lousy and unemotioned. The Royals have a good offensive lineup, it just hasn't worked out this year.
  8. Well, in a few years some talent pans out and the Royals become a big threat. It could happen.
  9. That wouldn't be a bad idea. It definately does seem as though his best years are past him, and injuries have hindered his offensive output pretty badly. Best of luck to Juan once he retires.
  10. Man, that's tough but I'd have to go with the Cub fan. Reasons being, while the Twins are our divisional rivals, they could not be our biggest divisional rival in a few years, say if the Tiggers or Indians start to become good, tough teams, and somehow the Twins fall into mediocrity for a few more years waiting for their talent to finish coming into it's own. So, if you marry the Twins fan, then the Twins fall off the face of the earth a few years later, the Twins fan will have NOTHING on you. The Cubs, however, will ALWAYS be our rivals and biggest arch-nemesis that doesn't include inter-divisional play.
  11. Maybe, maybe... But if he is so unhealthy right now, how would he have passed the physical to sign the contract? Unless he got hurt again and no one except himself knows, this seems fishy...
  12. Oh man, who wouldn't have? This year I think it's a pretty good idea to not leave until it's all over. Forget the traffic. Here's to a good series and hopefully another good series against the fish!
  13. I've gotten some good stuff from some dudes at the Cubby Bear.
  14. And to think some of us thought signing Juan Gone would be a good idea. :headshake Thank goodness we stayed far, far away from that cancerous nothing.
  15. I think I'm one of the few people who thought we were gonna do really good this year. I thought there would be MVP caliber seasons for Frank and Maggs, I also thought Koch would get his crap together (Guess not!). Rock on Nuke
  16. Just goes to show you how outnumbered we are. Why can't players/managers vote for who should be in? They would obviously be more fair about it. They'd be like "Yeah that guy killed us and other teams I'm definatelty voting for him", while all those bozos in Boston are voting for their bench players.
  17. You'll be posting a recap of years? That's pretty spiffy! It's nice to be able to read about some history, what with me being not old enough to know very much about it.
  18. Forget trading with Kansas City. Let stupid teams take on the overrated Carlos Beltran. We don't need any of what they have.
  19. Let's just be happy this year is not showing any signs of being that disastrous!
  20. If this man does not go to the All Star game with these monster numbers, then it is all a sham! Eh, someone will probably get injured out or decide not to go and he'll lose to the AMAZING Jason Varitek again.
  21. The answer is undoubtedly "Rooting for the Sox, win or lose" You don't need to own any gear to have Sox Pride. You don't need to attend games to have Sox Pride. You don't need to know everything about their whole organization to have Sox Pride, just the 25 man roster and coaches would be nice. You don't need to defend them to have Sox Pride, some just like to sit there and let Cub fans be showered in their ignorance. You DO however, need to root for the Sox to have Sox Pride.
  22. All this Piniero talk is cool, but is he even on the M's trading block? I don't think so. I'd think another reason they're so eager to be rid of Garcia is because they no they haven't a chance at re-signing him. Piniero is there for more years to come. So then they'd basically lose Piniero and Garcia, instead of just Garcia.
  23. Seriously, Brooks Boyer OWNS the hell out of Rob Gallas.
