June 14, 200421 yr I'm sure most of you have seen the new SOX PRIDE! commercial that they air on WCIU and WGN. It's in "THEM vs. US" form that's a total stab at Cub fans. It's about time they came up with a commercial like this. A couple of examples from the commercial: THEM: Have a fan who screams "Woo!" US: Don't. THEM: Believe they are cursed. US: Agree. It ends by saying "Oh...and the mayor likes us better! SOX PRIDE!!!" This year's Sox ticket marketing on TV has been nothing short of stellar!!! And this one tops the charts. Keep the commercials coming, guys!!!

June 14, 200421 yr As soon as we win a few more pocket books, the Cubs will suffer. I actually believe WGN and being a super station with all those day games made the Cubs. If they didn't have that huge edge at the damn of cable tv, we'd have kicked their ass in the late 1990s and 2000.

June 15, 200421 yr If the Cubs were smart, they'd have some jackass mascot that's a bear. No one wants to see a dirty sock running around, and no one knows what the hell a Phillie is, so why not go with the crazy looking alien-esque mascot that no one really knows what it is? I like it.

June 16, 200421 yr I think Boyer hit a home run on his first try with this one!! He has everyone talking about it on every sports talk radio show. Even if they hate the idea they are still spreading the word. Awesome work Brooks Boyer....
