  1. Clemson and South Carolina have decided not to accept bowl bids because of the brawl between the 2 teams. I think this may be a bit harsh. If possible, suspend all the players that were throwing punches etc. That shouldn't be the way some seniors end their career.
  2. So is Jason going to be Texas or is smalls?
  3. Alamo Bowl and yeah Nebraska whooped us. I knew that going in at least.
  4. Haha, 10th in the Big Ten right? Ahh, sometimes you guys really make me laugh. Anyway, props to Zoom to picking the top 3 in the Big Ten correctly.
  5. I've expected it since 2000. That was total bull though. The Cats were Co Big Ten champs with Purdue only and got stuck in the 4th best Big Ten bowl. That should not be allowed. This year, however, I can see it as much as I hate it.
  6. I'll say these suspensions are fair when the fans that got in the fights all get arrested. The message is that the fans can come onto the court, throw things at players, and not get any penalty while the Pacers season is over.
  7. I don't like the term travel better than. NU is by far the smallest school in the Big Ten and they have sold pretty well in their previous bowls. In non BCS games the huge teams (OSU) don't travel as well to bowls like the Alamo. NU may not have as many fans, but they have far fewer alumni.
  8. They would probably be headed to the Music City Bowl because they get the #6 Big Ten team.
  9. After some fine convincing from knightni I've decided to take the Brewers just for their farm system lol. AIM danman031 email [email protected]
  10. Yeah, all the rule does is F with NU as much as possible. Being the smallest school in the conference by far the bowl committees will do whatever possible not to pick the Cats.
  11. I'm kind of disappointed Bounds wasn't given more of a chance. He did have a pretty poor year though. Oh well.

  13. It's called a preflop raise. You raise a good amount, he pitches 8-6 or he deserves to get his ass beaten. Plain and simple. Yesterday I was playing a tourney, and a guy went all in. He had like a 10, another guy called with like a q, and a 3rd caller with 7 2 suited. The guy with 7 2 suited had a solid amount of chips and the raise wasn't that significant because the guy that went all in was really shortstacked. However it was enough to get 7 2 suited out for anyone with a f***ing brain. The 2 callers decided not to have a side pot for the excitement of watching the cards face up as the board is dealt. Flop comes 10 2 x. The all in guy is leading, yelled out yeah when he saw the ten. The guy with a q is pissed. Turn is a blank. River comes a 7. Nobody really looked at the 7 2 because we basically wrote it off, but low and behold he won with that s***. The guy who was all in was f***ing pissed because of that call. Tonight I played a made a few bucks in a cash game. I have 10 6 suited from small blind and limp in because no one raised. Flop comes j 6 6. I check, checks around. Turn comes another 6. Like in most cases when there is 3 of a kind on the board people will bet kickers or full houses rather largely assuming no one has the 4th card. Unfortunately this did not happen, but I still checked hoping it would on the river and I could reraise. River comes an ace. One guy bets 40 cents and I decide to raise (duh) to a dollar. Everyone else folds, there were 3 or 4 people in the hand going into the river. He reraises me and I'm laughing to myself. I put him all in he calls with the full house, 6s over aces. He said he didn't think there was anyway I had the 6. Ask Jason how sick I am at slowplaying.
  14. Well it looks like a tennis ball, smartass.
  15. Since when do the Pacers play tennis?
  16. That's ignorant. The play worked, it wasn't executed. He catches it you praise it and have the first down. He was WIDE open with a good pass. I don't see how you can honestly b**** about playcalling when your WR drops a wide open pass. :headshake
  17. Edwards was wide open and should have caught that. Blaming playcalling there is a mistake.
  18. I heard that on the U of M OSU game, but it's wrong. He probably meant 4th overtime game, not win. NU beat OSU, Indiana (2 OT), and Illinois in OT. Lost to TCU in double OT.
  19. This pisses me off because OSU is going to think of this as a decent season now. Those f***ers don't deserve s***. They sucked this year and this sucks ass. Anyway, how many times have we seen the Rose Bowl get altered in this game because the underdog pulled off the upset against their rival?
  20. Good God, being a Northwestern fan this season has been a freaking aerobic sport. I went totally apes*** on the punt return and the missed FG. Wow, that was too f***ing close. But I'll take it. Damn shame Michigan is losing, I don't want to see Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Say Wisconsin loses, does Iowa go to the Rose Bowl?
  21. It's early. They barely won, but I'm thrilled to see Brandon Lee contribute. He definitely fits the possible diamond in the rough mold. Playing 2nd banana to some Shaun Livingston guy in HS didn't allow him to look good or put up the numbers, but I think he is going to be a stud.
  22. BA doesn't talk about Young much, but everytime they do it's always great stuff. Along the lines of guys like him don't come around often. I have been on record saying I'm not on the Young bandwagon, but I do see the potential everybody loves.
