  1. Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste. A taste of honey tasting much sweeter than wine Spill the wine, take that girl Take your car, yes we will, we'll take your car and drive it. I've been waiting...I've been waiting for this moment all my life...but it's not quite right
  2. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 11:16 PM) How did this douchebag get a promotion? I've never heard a single good thing about him besides "he throws hard" and he doesn't have good numbers/results. Because God apparently hates Ryan Wing.
  3. I just don't want him on the team. I followed him as a member of a Dodgers, and I never cared for him then.
  4. QUOTE(Vance Law @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 10:30 PM) Gonzalez fills the Pablo Ozuna role. An infielder who can be plugged into the outfield. He has even played in center for us this year. Sweeney is not up instead of Gonzalez, because: 1) he would not be playing every day, just as Gonzalez is not playing every day, and 2) he is not an infielder. Now, if Dye goes on the DL, Sweeney will be called up. Gonzalez is a guy who you can plug in out there in the loosest sense of the word.
  5. QUOTE(gosox41 @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) Neither do I. It's about time they called up Sweeney. They must not really like Anderson at all because he's a righty and not being called up. Bob And he's hurt.
  6. Poreda might be done for the nite
  7. Poreda's fourth: groundout to second single (up the middle) bloop single, runner to third single (grounder up the middle), run scores K swinging popout
  8. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 08:51 PM) Heads... how are you following the game? telepathy as well as the link on great falls website to audio
  9. Poreda's second: Steffan Wilson strikes out swinging. Eric Fryer lines out softly to second baseman Dale Mollenhauer. Curt Rindal strikes out swinging. And Poreda's third: K groundout to third groundout to first Aaron is throwing a LOT of strikes early. Getting ahead a lot.
  10. Poreda's first inning: Lee Haydel reaches on throwing error by shortstop Sergio Miranda. Eric Farris grounds into a force out, pitcher Aaron Poreda to shortstop Sergio Miranda. Lee Haydel out at 2nd. Eric Farris to 1st. With Jonathan Lucroy batting, wild pitch by Aaron Poreda, Eric Farris to 2nd. Jonathan Lucroy called out on strikes. Caleb Gindl grounds out, second baseman Dale Mollenhauer to first baseman Christian Marrero.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 07:20 PM) Might we be seeing Anderson getting called up for Dye? He didn't start in either game of the double header today. He got hurt again yesterday.
  12. Sweeney isn't ready and Gonzalez is crap. Neither one should be in the majors yet. Sweeney is just slightly more acceptable is all. EDIT: Of course, if Dye is just missing a few games, it doesn't make sense to have Sweeney starting sporadically, unless they want to put him in CF with Luis backing up. I wouldn't mind Richar instead of Gonzo, still.
  13. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 06:41 PM) Ozzie absolutely loves Sweeney and I'm sure if it were a straight up choice between Sweeney and Gonzalez it would be an easy one but the truth is that Gonzalez is more flexible and Sweeney, more important than anything else, needs to be in the minors working on strength, turning on inside fastballs and making contact. He simply isn't ready. How is Gonzalez more flexible? He's not an outfielder.
  14. Don't let Milton Bradley near the clubhouse.
  15. He better get more than one f***ing quality prospect for Mark.
  16. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 03:42 PM) If not trades, release people and let the Triple A team play here. At least they have some life. LF Owens CF Anderson RF Sweeney 3B Fields SS Uribe 2B Richar 1B Konerko C Pierzynski DH Thome Yup, make it happen.
  17. Guillen doesn't think Dye will be back soon.
  18. I really hope the 25 man roster isnt the same tomorrow.
  19. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 03:22 PM) Yes, a delicious 93-94 mph fastball with no movement. This should about do it for this current collection of White Sox members. I'd love to hear of a trade following today, but I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Wouldn't it be nice if Dye wasn'ta actually hurt? At least gascan is in.
  20. so.....let's hope poreda throws well tonite
  21. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) If Williams doesn't acquire this exact package I'll never let you forget it. It's all on you, Heads. Get me hired and it'll get done. Iguchi for Tony Abreu and Blake DeWitt.
  22. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) Is that an Ozzie crack or a Thome crack? Ozzie has no better option that Thome. Is Hall feeling better?
