QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) Who, me? No, I just didn't want to upset the kiddies with pesky issues of pet mortality. Incidentally, if the kids ask, their former pet hamsters are doing just swell out at the hamster farm in the country. I'm still trying to find out if my parents are telling me the truth about our dog that "ran away" when i was like 4 or 5. She was Kizzy, just a mutt, but she was the sweetest dog ever. The fact that she was 12 makes me doubt it a little, but oh well. I remember taking it hard and it still makes me sad. My parents still tell me to this day that when I was born, people would come over and babysit me to see the dog.....

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 04:50 PM) Dude! I think we have the same kids fish tank! The current occupants of our Mini Bikini Bottom are a pair of carnival-won goldfish named Porridge and Flip (yes, we let tthe kids name them). Previously, however, the tank was home to the bettas Dennis, Dennis II, and Dennis III, respectively. As far as the kids know, though, there was only one Dennis, who lived a very long time. And sometimes was red and somettimes was blue. I think this makes you a bastard.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) No, that's the one where Homer's car gets illegally parked at 1 world trade plaza. I haven't seen that one aired since One World Trade plaza ceased to exist. I know. There's the WTC episode and the Homer joining the Navy episode. I thought you were confusing the two.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) They seriously showed the NY one? I haven't seen anyone broadcast that rerun since, well, you know, the unpleasantness back in 2001. I think those are two different ones. That epidsode is actually a damn good one too.

Farmer and Singleton
I never liked Farmer either but I wasn't overly impressed with Rooney when I've heard him a few times in the past. I suppose that makes me a super minority.

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) I don't see Jordan's kid going to Iowa State ever. He will be at UNC as a walk on. There was a connection between him and WM. It was mentioned somewhere that he had Georgetown, Iowa State and Kentucky among his top choices. Don't shoot the messenger.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) They have a habit of showing the newer ones too much on the re-runs, but they're showing some older, good ones right now. Just this week they've shown the one where they go to New York and the one where Homer joins the Naval Reserve. Those are both pretty good, and it looks like they're showing my all-time favorite "The Cartridge Family" (Homer joins the NRA) tonight. My all time favorite is still the Ringer Softball team. Shave those sideburns indeed.

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) the younger is better. That's what I've heard. Apparently Georgetown and ISU are in the running for him, but it might even be worth it for the exposure and having him as a donor. Ya never know.

Article on Boone Logan and Brian Anderson
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 11:30 AM) Ozuna blows. By putting them in the field, it's like a choice between fish sticks and meat loaf. Either one would get the job done, I suppose, but you kind of feel sick when you're doing it.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 10:18 AM) I wish Guillen would give him a break and play him in Left over Ozuna. Boy, you are morbid.

Where do the Sox rate?
QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 07:17 AM) So I wasn't the only one with a oh s***, why the Astros feeling. They are the easiest team for me to follow, along with the Rangers. I get to more Astros games than anything. Watched Clemens last season get a no decision when he gave up three hits in 8 innings. Bags and Biggio are class acts all the way. No you weren't. I wanted to face the Cards for that reason. It was all well and good when Jenks blew Bagwell away, but part of me really did feel sad. They are easy to root for. I've got a Bagwell autograph which is by far my favorite. When I played second base in little league, I always wanted to be like Biggio (hell I got hit a lot). If we didn't repeat, I'd be pulling for Houston all the way.

Alex Thompson, Carlton Reed transferring
QUOTE(BabyJesus69 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) i think that it's important to note that alex thompson and his parents are the same people that got his high school coach fired for 'verbal abuse.' after the coach took the school district to court, he was given his job back. There seems to be a lot of pushy parents around these days. Really disgusts me at times.

Sig Season - round 2
QUOTE(Fourofakind @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) I was thinking the same thing. Not very original I thought. Maybe people don't understtand "el caballo" For those confused it means the horse and that was his nickname given by Hawk. Everyone knows. It looks like you joined in June, but you guys obviously haven't seen all of his stuff. He's hands down the most talented graphics guy on the site, and all of his images have been very clean, and a lot of people like the clean look.

Dumb Poll for the off day
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) As long as Liotta, Lumsden or Sweeney were not involved, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I view him essentially the same way I viewed AJP when he was on the Twins. Hate him as a Twins player, would love him in a Sox uniform. Plus I am not yet sold as Brian Anderson as the future in CF. I like Anderson, don't get me wrong, but I think Sweeney and Owens both have a chance to overtake him in the future for OF spots. I hear Gage is rangey out there. Has tools, but all of them suck.
