QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 07:49 PM) Is Iowa State any good these days? Last time I heard about them they had a collosal collapse against the Spartans back in 2000. Top 40 team and heading up. That was essentially a home game for MSU anyways....and some shady calls near the end.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) You dont rank teams on the fact that they can beat bad opponents. You are supposed to rank them based on whether or not they could beat the opponent ranked below them. For some reason I feel that if WVU was in a conference such as the ACC or Big 10 they would be looking at minimum 2 losses. Honestly those are the 2 best conferences IMO, Big 12 has a huge drop off after Texas, Pac 10 big drop off after USC, and SEC just seems to have lost its identity. SB If you're going by teams they should beat, ISU would've been playing in January. Don't underestimate the power of crapping out.

Colts vs. Bears
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) Then that is the only possible reasoning. #1 defense in the NFL keeps you in every game, and when an underdog hangs around in a game anything can happen. Either that or because they have Jeff Blake, you pick. Who's better....Sorgi or Orton? It's also the most dynamic offense they'd face.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:50 PM) Not with that amazing offense and that equally amazing weak schedule. They have an inside track to 11-0 and the BCS Title game if they take care of the things they should IMO. I don't think a Big East team will get much credit from the voters. What is the schedule next year.

Colts vs. Bears
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) Maybe because they have the best defense in football? That will give them a chance in every game. Not saying they would win, but that could be the angle some would take. LOL...I'm just in this to hear some reasoning from the Bears fans.

Jas, I agree with you on Young. He's a good RB. I think if they would have worked harder to establish him, the Hawks would have won. They toally went away from him late against both ISU and Florida and they lost. The Iowa WR corps wasn't good enough to try and carry the team when the RB was.

13 people so far for the Bears, but not a lot of justification....

In preseason you aren't doing a lot of the stuff you'd do in the regular season. Anyone in organized athletics knows that a lot of the time teams are working on specific stuff in exhibitions. I.E. Edge would get more than 6 carries a half.
