QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 3, 2016 -> 10:43 AM) Yea I haven't seen a run like this since I think Heads back in 2005. I did win us a World Series. 14-1 record in game threads starting on September 28. Call me when this guy does it in the clutch.

I'm continually amazed at the people that want us to have a three man bullpen of Albers, Jones and Robertson. Believe it or not, we will need to rely on the other guys as well.

Hooray Duke! I could see us using Robertson in the 9th to knock off any rust.

At least Brett's been covering up his glove lately with the bat.

Manny Machado is someone I don't like playing against.

Lawrie
Frazier seems to mesh really well with him as well.

I wouldn't mind being cautious with Frazier with this lead at this point. Pull him.

Judging by Gameday, Dioner struck out on three straight balls.

QUOTE (Jake @ May 1, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) I don't wade too deeply into game threads, so I'm curious how people are feeling about this guy. Obviously, his numbers are pretty good, but it's early. The way I see it, there are some reasons for optimism, but there's also no single part of his game where I feel like I know for certain what he's got. He's never had a terrible bat, so I'm not worried about a Beckham-esque slide into terrible-ness, but it's also far from certain that he keeps up his current pace. Even beyond that, I'm not sure if he's going to continue to show some pop, draw walks, or strike out so much. On defense, he's made a few very high-difficulty plays, but especially here in Baltimore a few boners. It could be the bias of the recent gaffes, but to me he doesn't look very natural receiving the ball. Maybe it's that he looks like a 3B playing 2B, I'm not sure. And I haven't even decided what I think about his attitude. I was never a huge fan of him as a non-Sox, but he does seem to bring some nice balance to the mix of personalities. With that said, I'm not sure if any of us would be surprised if we heard that he was really irritating people or started playing poorly because he lost his cool. What are other folks thinking about Lawrie? Was this a steal? Will he be a fixture going forward? I agree.

And that's a White Sox Winner!!!
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 30, 2016 -> 10:50 PM) Nice inning by Nate. He was pretty nasty IMO. Those home runs were bombs. Geez. Frazier has 17 RBIs in April. That is pretty damn good. Looks like Sox hit the jackpot on this FA signing from the NL. Seven homers. Beautiful. Abreu, Eaton, lots of great at bats. Lawrie's home run was a blast. Watch the replay of it. When he hits one he hits one. Nice to stop the bleeding vs the O's. Just think, if Sale is Sale, we may go 2-2 in Baltimore. Pretty nice this time of year when the O's were red hot at home. We traded for Todd.

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 08:50 PM) What was the scenario with Gibbons getting tossed? This is a young ump who got into a shouting match earlier innings. He called it both ways, even if it wasn't precise. Suck it Gibbons, I woulda tossed your ass if I was umpiring tonight too. In Gibbons defense, the strike zone was a joke
