  6. If the Royals rotation stays static, guess what three pitchers we face in early September? You guessed it. Mendoza Chen Guthrie
  7. QUOTE (SnB @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 11:45 AM) I think most people did, myself included. A "stretch" was warranted there. Granted I can't watch a lot of games, but it seems like his stretch call has been more effective this year.
  8. Nice night out of Gordon.
  9. AJ sure seems to be tripling a lot lately.
  10. The fearsome duo of Beckham and Wise. Let's get this game in Humber/Veal/Jones territory.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 08:46 PM) PK looks so much better than he did the last month I'll say it again, facial trauma rejuvenates the man.

  13. Lets get this f***er in.
  14. Or if the Sox play any of those teams. Usually I can get a Royals game on FSN Midwest Plus, but I'm screwed as far as Twins games. Or any Sox game on ESPN. Or TBS.
  15. I live in Iowa, so MLB.tv has probably lost out on around 500 bucks from me.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 10:42 PM) No chance that PK hits a double like that a month ago Again, cranial trauma rejuvenates the man.

  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 10:32 PM) That's truly not a fair question. If Robin did that, I'd think Robin was a clown and yes I'd criticize him. Robin has shown me enough that I realize he's not a Bevington. He makes decisions re. his relievers comparable to other managers' (see Boone Logan vs. Lexi with a man on base ... HR) decisions. Robin doesn't make clown decisions like batting Huddy cleanup. He makes reasonable bullpen decisions. If his pitchers would do the f***ing job once in a while post Joe Morgan we might win the damn division. Well, possibly the best way I can phrase it is that Robin, especially with the bullpen, has been making decisions counter to ones that would seem to lead to the best chance of success for the ballclub. Yes, it's the pitcher's job to get whoever out. But it's the manager's job to utilize the bullpen in a way of making sure that happens. Leaving Santiago in for 75 pitches probably wasn't the best way to do that, for example.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 10:26 PM) Funny, as Hawk seemed to hesitate for a second Farmer pretty much immediately screamed into the mic. Scared me a little.
  22. Farmio may have soiled himself on that HR
