i would want an outfield of, Lee, Jones, and A-Row A-Row takes over full time for maggs in RF Jones is a great defensive player, he's in Beltrans league defence wise Jones will hit 35+ HR like he has, and will hit more in a park like ours. he will also have 100+ RBI, and will probably hit more in a park like ours.... he will not be an offensive upgrade to maggs (just because he dosent hit for the same average, but does have power numbers similar to maggs) but he would be a defensive upgrade, and would be here for 3.5 years at a cost that is cheaper then Maggs would be. and if this also brings us Ortiz, who does have some problems with walks but does have the potential to win 21 games, s***, even if its 15 as a #4 starter, GREAT... this guy was clutch in the WS with the giants and with a 3.87 ERA, our offensive baseball club... Ortiz would be a great addition!

jones i like but having Ortiz a part of our rotation, i LOVE burly, garcia, e low, ortiz, garland ortiz has an era of 3.89 1 CG and a carrer 95-47 record. 21 game winner last year, and play off clutch experience... talk about a GREAT #4 that would be one of the best, if not the best Starting Rotations in baseball and those kinds of teams, win WS Champs

agreed, if we cant get Maggs to sign, then we take Jones with a smile and try to fleece the Braves for Ortiz.

if they wanna dubp Jones contract and get something in return, the Sox and Maggs are their best option. This gives KW some leverage to say, look... I want Ortiz as well, or no deal and I'll throw in Raunch and a single A prospect No way do we get Estrada

i find this very very odd indeed Jones to Sox for Maggs MLB Braves site, rumors
  6. flash, seriously man if we wanted to do anything special this year, KW bits the bullet, and OVERPAYS he knows he did it, we know he did it, everyone knows he did it........ AND MOST PEOPLE KNOW WHY!!!!!!!!!! KW sees that we have a good team, that after a couple holes are plugged.. can get GREAT... like WS champs GREAT ozzies daughter is married to garcia, he will sign i hated seeing Olivo go, Reed wasnt that bad because we have a ton of OF tallent down on the farm just get on the bus and buckle in for a fun ride this year brother!
  7. hahahaha another view of davis from a M's fan.... "He comes to spring training fat every year, and he's lazy as hamburgers"
  8. another M's fans comments about davis "Ben Davis is a funny story. A few years back when we made the trade for him he was a hot prospect already playing in the bigs, similar to Olivo. But the crazy thing is, somehow he seemed to get worse each season. Potentially he could still amount to a very good catcher, with the ability to be an all-star at some point in his career, given an opportunity to start 75-85% of the time."
  9. from a mareners board: "Olivo fixes the catcher situation. Whereas Davis was supposed to be a 20-70 guy down the road"
  10. freebirds.... yumm, ill miss them damn burritos
  11. yup, hes another name in the hat that we can all agree, is in the mix im in socal too was living in santa barbara, but im thinking of moving back here to castaic to save up money with my folks joy :puke
  12. yeah, no joke man... what part of the country are u in?
  13. im just a big time sox fan that saw a great talented kid with a huge heart get a big dissapointment today apathy or empthy or whatever, i feel for the kid
  14. burkes no MO davis no MO but hey, those are 2 pretty damn good catching prospects and odds are, one will work out and we will have a nice, talented, young catcher adios Mo, thanks for the couple years brotha!
  15. after reading that im happy we got him as a throw in i thought this guy was some incompatent mental case from his batting average .094 looks like he's just a young kid tryin to make it and work out his kinks
  16. when i fist saw MO's name on the trade completed thead, i honestly felt like a family member died. but as you all can see, i understand why KW and the sox org. had to do it... and im on their side... it honestly took a few hours at the beach and some time to myself to get myself to see it this way and push down my feelings for what happened with MO... but i get it MO is a badass, will be an even better bad ass, and will be an allstar for a lot of years to come great for him, great for his new team(s), and we got someone who could win us another 10 - 15 games
  17. i like winning NOW paulie has more impact NOW then olivo or reed there is no reason to make this trade unless you want to win NOW so, dont make ANY sence to me to say youd rather have olivo then paulie
  18. id rather have jones for 3 years then maggs for 3 months id rather have more depth in the rotation and bullpen 3 good players for one good player and a couple prospects... YES
  19. how are you guys so far off on your stats? who's right? how do u know?
