My dad showed me the article tonight in the paper and the article does say that it is "just speculation" and is rumored talk that is "floating around"

OK, i looked over Ortiz's numbers from THIS YEAR alone... and he is a good #4 starter... Garland becomes #5.... take a look at Ortiz's game by game break down HERE: Notice that he just threw a shut out in interleauge play hummmmm And then compare his starts to that of Garland (our current #4)

when its seen like that, I cant believe ive supported the idea =0 but there is an upside that ive been preaching all over

maggs will most likely need to come of the DL the unlikely situation being that we take him of the DL, send him to ATL, then the put him on their DL dont see it happening i think that the sox org. is going to mull over this until past the all star game and deep into July... IF someone dosent try to take Ortiz that is how much money does KW make? because damn, im really starting to get a feel for what he goes through, that guy must be f***ing NUTS!

well, he's starting on june 30th with minny... so i figured out his probable starts for the rest of the year... the green listings could go either way the orange are more likely to end in a W then a ND or L June 30th Minny July 6th Ana. Angels July 11th Sea July 16th Oak July 21st Cle July 26th Minny July 31st Det Aug 6th Cle Aug 10th KC Aug 15th Bos Aug 21st Bos (on FOX) Aug 26th Cle Sep 1st Oak Sep 6th Tex Sep 11th Ana. angels Sep 17th Det Sep 22nd Minny Sep 27th Det Oct 2nd KC the way i came up with this, was looking at the teams he will be facing and just using basic logic looking at their offence and how we do against them normaly. another factor i put into the process was home vs. away games. all added up, he has 19 total probable starts 10 are orange which means that he should have AT LEAST 10 Wins out of those 19 starts. 9 green could go either way, and im gonna say divide them by 3.... 1/3 losses 1/3 ND and 1/3 wins 13 more then likely to win, 3 more then likely to lose, and 3 ND that would be about 16 out of 19 quality starts right now thus far out of 15 starts he has 11 quality starts so looks like that 16 out of 19 quality starts isnt to far off guys look at these numbers, only 3 starts that he gave up 4 or more runs, ever other start has been 3 or less runs!!!!! with our offence... WOW, he could be f***in 15 - 0!!!!

i dont have any idea why you want to trade paul K. when he has been the best offensive player on this team, and is signed to a long term contract the whole reason that Jones looks good is because he has a reasonable 3.5 year contract that would help now and later... while as maggs only has .5 of a year left.... we want this trade because we are getting marginal tallent for a good price and are parting with VERY LITTLE yes, losing maggs and rauch is losing VERY LITTLE when u get a starting pitcher with world series experience, a 3.87 era, and a carrer record of 95-47... oh yeah, and a 6 time gold glove CF with 35hr/100rbi seasons as a rule of thumb for his offensive production sounds like we make out like bandits if thats what happens, paulie + prospects NO maggs + prospects ANY DAY

i voted for 10 wins... but i was thinking that he'd only get about 14 starts.... i think if he has 18 starts, 13 wins 3 losses and 2 ND

i would want an outfield of, Lee, Jones, and A-Row A-Row takes over full time for maggs in RF Jones is a great defensive player, he's in Beltrans league defence wise Jones will hit 35+ HR like he has, and will hit more in a park like ours. he will also have 100+ RBI, and will probably hit more in a park like ours.... he will not be an offensive upgrade to maggs (just because he dosent hit for the same average, but does have power numbers similar to maggs) but he would be a defensive upgrade, and would be here for 3.5 years at a cost that is cheaper then Maggs would be. and if this also brings us Ortiz, who does have some problems with walks but does have the potential to win 21 games, s***, even if its 15 as a #4 starter, GREAT... this guy was clutch in the WS with the giants and with a 3.87 ERA, our offensive baseball club... Ortiz would be a great addition!

jones i like but having Ortiz a part of our rotation, i LOVE burly, garcia, e low, ortiz, garland ortiz has an era of 3.89 1 CG and a carrer 95-47 record. 21 game winner last year, and play off clutch experience... talk about a GREAT #4 that would be one of the best, if not the best Starting Rotations in baseball and those kinds of teams, win WS Champs

agreed, if we cant get Maggs to sign, then we take Jones with a smile and try to fleece the Braves for Ortiz.

if they wanna dubp Jones contract and get something in return, the Sox and Maggs are their best option. This gives KW some leverage to say, look... I want Ortiz as well, or no deal and I'll throw in Raunch and a single A prospect No way do we get Estrada
