  1. Sigh... Knox is due for some s*** like that at least once every other game
  2. D-line isn't doing anything at all worth mentioning, the Patriots offense won't even break a sweat at this rate.
  3. god dammit guys tackle the ballcarrier in front of you
  4. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 04:21 PM) Greg Olsen blocking fail. Overall in the last month he's been 100% better though
  5. It's pretty hard to tell first downs, yeah. i thought that Forte run on 2nd down was a first down and the 3rd down was a 1st and 10 but it was a three and out.
  6. Thank you Lions! You did what the Vikings couldn't be bothered to, an in-division loss for the Packers is HUGE for the Bears.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 8, 2010 -> 01:55 PM) Hmmm. My interested is peaked. But are you guys ready for a drunk J4L? I'll be in town then and I will need another black guy there. LBVS (laughing but very serious) BigSqwert told me on Twitter that he started this thread and I totally forgot about it, I can't post at work. But I'm definitely in. My mom turns 60 on the 4th and we're having a party for her, that's on the day after this but I'll be around for it. If you are my friend on Facebook you pretty much have an idea of what my personality is like. You read my status updates and such and see how over-the-top they are. Yes. Exactly like that.
  8. What government control? The Wall Street "reform"? cmon now. Written by the banks for the banks.
  9. I loved the win over LA last night, great defense (outside of the first few minutes of the games). Rose was a beast, tell me what was more impressive, that crazy off-balance three in front of LA's bench, or that windmill s*** he did in the paint. But it'd be nice if this team could actually play 4 complete quarters against a quality team for once. I feel like that day is imminent, but damn, any time they'd like to do it would be fine by me.
  10. That wasn't the nuclear option. Not even close to what he was talking about, actually. Cmon kap. If you have 57 votes for something in the Senate it should f***ing pass, like it always has in history until very recently, unless there is an honest-to-god filibuster or other reason that kills it. If it has 51 votes it should pass. If it has 50 votes and the VP has to break the tie it should pass. Not 60.
  11. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) And the Democrats do. But whatever. Pious, they're not. lol I knew you were going to post this. Democrats are a totally different type of sleaze. They're really not like the Republicans at all. The GOP more or less has a standard operating procedure across the board that they follow (you can tell on TV, they even use the same catchphrases in their media appearances in the same week) and if there was a written manual somewhere this would be in the first or second chapter. Republicans are openly cozy with financial-type lobbyists and are pretty unashamed about it, they are pretty indifferent when called on it. To the extent that Democrats do the same thing, they try to weasel out of it and pretend they're not doing the bidding of bankers etc., but even still that's only one wing of the party and everybody doesn't agree.
  12. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 11:56 AM) http://thinkprogress.org/2010/12/09/gop-fr...n-lobbyist-cos/ I'm not even surprised enough to get upset/indignant. Pretty much par for the course for the GOP, this is how they do business, and they don't even try to hide it.
  13. I understand why the Park District would want to defend themselves, I mean I'm sure they really are doing the best they can. But obviously that's not good enough. Grass in Chicago in November/December just doesn't grow and the fields get torn up really quick. Install field turf once and you're done. And I remember when Gilette got field turf b/c they were saying how it was brand new, and we ironically played that really ugly game vs. the Patriots as soon as it was used. The field before that was HORRIBLE.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 9, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) Do you have the sports almanac from Back to the Future? Should I bet on that exact box score right now??? Side note: Did anybody notice that when the Colts were 5-2 or 6-3, the media kept claiming that Manning is so good, it doesn't matter how many of his WRs are injured, he keeps winning? Now that they are 6-6, all I hear is that there is only so much Peyton can do with an injured WR core. Which one is it?? Earlier this season I was saying this too, but there's only so much he can account for at a time apparently.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 8, 2010 -> 03:21 PM) The hacker group "Anonymous" has apparently crashed Mastercard's website as retaliation for Mastercard's decision to stop processing credit card contributions to Wikileaks. They tried to take down Amazon and that was an epic fail, Amazon's servers barely noticed. "What? A DDOS attack? It's December, we've basically had a DDOS going on nonstop for a month"
  16. Nobody in their right mind wouldn't want Crawford, but at that price the Red Sox can have him.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 8, 2010 -> 09:01 AM) They have switched back and forth a few separate times, yes. In 2000 they were playing a 4-3...but in 2006 they were playing a 3-4...then they switched back to a 4-3 at some point...not even sure what they are playing at the moment. They play the 46 (yes that 46)
  18. QUOTE (G&T @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 10:09 PM) I don't understand that tweet when he posted the same thing in his blog 4 hours ago. I think Cowley wants more clicks. lol, I'm on a laptop and laying on my couch so I thought that said "I think Cowley wants more dicks"
  19. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) Yes. And I attribute the success moreso to Garza coming back, not Martz changing his schemes. The Bears were unable to do certain things in the beginning and nothing at all against the Giants. But they tried. Mike Tice had the toughest job of all. And trust me, I love me some Martz. He didn't change his runblocking or his passblocking schemes. He didn't change routes. He didn't change the gaps. Martz didn't change his schemes, he just calls his plays different. Cutler still gets hammered on 7 step drops, he's basically handcuffed from throwing bombs and when he does they're inaccurate because he didn't have time to throw it.
  20. Well damn, I read earlier today that she stopped her cancer treatment, but it was talking like she had weeks left, not hours.
